I tried to do a no undos challenge (I failed, I did at least 3 undos TnT)
The speed paint (I IbisPaint, but I hate the flash at the end and the awkward beginning so I edited those out using Inshot) V

There goes my streak down the drain. I failed the 7 day challenge lol 😂 With summer about a week away, my soul refuses to study, so here is one last time, before I zone out
Not continuing Direct Watercolor Month, but aiming to do a lot more posting here. Starting with what I did manage to do for the challenge.
Had run into the lovely problems of humidity with this month. Add in getting back to work after a month off, and there is no way I can do a watermedia piece a day for 30 days. However, thanks to Michael's clearancing out a lot of their Copic Ciao stock... I found myself happily enjoying my investment into myself and enjoying the quick drying markers for quick coloring with less set up. Bonus, I was using my other alcohol markers for concept sketches... And boy has the art improvement rocket hit me out of left field.
Sketch, sketch, sketch, BOOM, instant improvement as the last photo shows. Exploring my own Undertale AU and go in a much different direction than a Fellswap type. Bonus, did a self portrait to update my profile pics and it is quite an improvement.
tumblr let me post just the tag rant without text in the post challenge
Turns out the answer is a coin.
My dumb ass thought it was penis, but oh well
note to self...try the watch a “stripped down” twenty one pilots video without getting so up in your feelings you gotta lie on the floor challenge
2018 Inktober Postmortem
Inktober was the first challenge I ever did and managed to complete. I was really excited to do it again this year and had done some planning to limit what medium and size I was going to be working at. But classes struck again, and I didn't get past day 10 or something on this project/challenge. It was really disappointing because after that first one I had decided to switch to color and I was trying really hard to also stick to a cohesive style and it just didn't happen. I tried to keep it up on some off days where I can have access to my supplies because of work and I didn't end up revisiting those drawings and getting them back in line with the rest of the work I had been doing so disappoint there too. I was enjoying myself with this challenge at times and these are some of the best of this year’s attempt. It's not like I don't have problems with some of these but they're at least the ones I hate the least. Sticking with a certain size and a certain medium on top of the prompt list for this Inktober was really great but my time management and creativity wasn't. I was running a group project at the time and it felt like herding cats. So that ended up taking not only a huge amount of my creativity and time but also a lot of the spoons that I had for dealing with additional stress. I really just wish I could have stuck to it because it was just another disappointment after missing completion on both MerMay and KaiJune. But perhaps it was an unrealistic expectation that in my final class during my final project during my final year that I would be able to do an art challenge while finishing up my degree and working. I still don't understand how some people have enough energy to have a job and go to school and do family and social things and then still be creative on the side with constant improvements. It's baffling and amazing all at once.
