unpopular opinions.

1. sometimes original characters are better written by people than canon characters. sometimes you can’t project too much on a chara without them turning into a completely different people. give making an original character a chance! it is so much fun to be honest.

2. i don’t have a rlly unpopular opinion when it comes to shipping? but people should keep in mind that bisexual characters exists. it ANNOYS me to hell and back when people declare a character gay or straight directly because they choose sb of the same sex as them for the former / sb from the opposite sex for the latter when. they’re bi sir!!!

3. seeing men in gender-breaking/nonconforming clothes like a skirt is great. join the fucking gang babes! seeing teenage boys clearly being sexualized when they wear smth feminine (lets say a maid outfit) is not so great.

@failured​  /  ask. monika to sidle up towards the other : no cheshire like grin on her features, no undercurrent of fear or unkindness lingering in tones, just golden notes of worry as she speaks, tucking lock of hair behind her ear, "charles, i—" a pause, as if unsure she should even confront him about it. he's just... he's just code, after all. they all are. but she wants to believe in something more — she always does. "are you alright? do you want to get coffee with me after club?"

... so she’s noticed after all. there’s something wrong here. charles has felt... a pull, ever since he showed up. the newest member, who is tragically bad at writing poems but seems to like eyler regardless. he isn’t the right kind of person for charles to feel something towards — he’s not intelligent, he reads more manga than actual literature, and all things considered, he’s rather... boorish. but even still, charles finds his heart beating. faster and faster, thinking in classes about him. wishing for the moment that he’ll extend his poem and charles can get a look into his unfortunate mind.

all things considered, he’s grateful for the out. these days, it feels more and more like his life has tunnelled itself down to just this room, just these four walls.

he hasn’t told her about his home life. and yet, a part of him feels that perhaps the information is floating around somewhere, a deadly secret waiting to be shared. of course, she knows bits and pieces — that charles never seems to have much money, that he always hurries home after club. his sister is waiting, his mother needs him. but has she pieced it together, somehow?

“ha-ha. you’re quite observant, miss monika.” he doesn’t immediately deny her, though, simply slips on his impassive mask, always smiling, always polite, always playing the role of the good girl. “i was actually thinking a change of pace would do me some good. shall we, then?”

resting his cheek against the top of her head, he ALMOST fell asleep as she spoke about what happened during training camp. it wasn’t because he found the subject at hand boring-- at this point he was probably an UNOFFICIAL team member with how much he knew about everyone-- but because her voice was soothing and it felt just RIGHT to have her leaning against him.

at least, that was the case until she shifted her stance slightly to look up at him and he RELUCTANTLY leaned back to answer her question. even now, her captain was still unintentionally interrupting their time spent together.  

"wasn’t really harassing her..” he mumbled out softly, free hand reaching over to blindly find hers buried underneath his sweatshirt sleeves “.. was just trying to see what kind of guy was responsible for interrupting our conversation..”

it was nice to know she was getting along with her teammates, even if it meant less time spent alone together. but that also meant he had to be CAREFUL with his words and how he acted around them before they complained about him to her. 

                  wait-- maybe they already started.

“... what else did she say about me?”
