finally, he shakes his head. “er, no. that’s okay. i know my dropping in was... unexpected.” to say the least. “is charlotte here? i... found her book.” it was covered in mud — that is to say, it was utterly filthy when he found it. but since she had provided him with gloves, he felt much better about picking it up and trying to clean off the pages.

that doesn’t change the fact that he vomited his throat raw afterwards, but the pastel-haired alien doesn’t need to know that.
