The Dazzlings vs Saja Boys debate
Am I completely late to the party on this one? Yes. Do I care? Absolutely not. I'm going to subject you to my opinions today.
I feel like when people compare the Dazzlings to the Saja Boys and so confidently claim that the Dazzlings would win, no competition, they're conveniently forgetting that in terms of how their powers work, the Dazzlings are just a more competent Velvet and Veneer. They're complete phonies that rely on outside sources for their talent. I think we're also forgetting the fact that the Saja Boys are LITERAL DEMONS? WHO EAT PEOPLE? But I'm getting ahead of myself. I would also like to mention that, if we were to project the plot of KPDH onto MLPEG, the Dazzlings wouldn't even be the main competition and quite frankly wouldn't be a target unless they made themselves a target, which brings me to my next point.
As clever and evil as they are, the Dazzlings are still petty high school girls at their core and act that way, too. In the original plot of Rainbow Rocks, the girls were able to defeat them while still playing fair. The only scenarios in which the Saja Boys would play fair with the Dazzlings is if they were to either use the Dazzlings to further their cause (bringing down the Honmoon) or simply entertain their ideas out of amusement. Since they are not opponent No.1, I sincerely would not put it past them to just wipe the Dazzlings out for convenience if they got too annoying (either by exposing them as phonies or again, straight up just eating them or letting other demons eat them), because the only point of playing fair in the original plot of KPDH is to sway the crowd in their favor and beating Huntrix at their own game. Considering the crowd of EG mainly consists of high schoolers that were already riled up for this 'Battle of the Bands' and have already been shown to not see evil right in their faces on multiple occasions, one of those factors of playing fair is already out of the way. And even further, considering that the girls are just participants and not manufacturers of this competition, I would argue they don't exactly have that second reason either unless they're specifically doing it to get on Dash's nerves, but I digress.
"But why didn't they just eat the Huntrix!" The Huntrix are armed and trained for this specific conflict. The Dazzlings, the girls, and quite frankly the entire high school as a whole, are not.
"But the Dazzlings have the entire school backing them and in love with them and they have mind control!" The Saja Boys had, at the VERY least, an entire city backing them, if we only take into account the locations we see in the movie. And they have also displayed that they also have mind control through extension of Gwi-Ma. Also lets be so serious with the mind control argument, do you really think that even if they can get into the Saja Boys' heads through their negativity to control them, they would get past GWI-MA's INFLUENCE? I think not. They already have a puppetmaster, and he will NOT let a trio of petty high school girls push him off his throne in their heads.
"But what if the Dazzlings were in their siren forms!" I genuinely don't think the conflict between them would last long enough for the Dazzlings to recognize them as an actual threat until it's too late, and big daddy Gwi-Ma is at their front door. And especially if the Saja Boys can sway the other competitors and spectators in a similar way they did in the KPDH movie, which I would argue would cut off a lot of the negative energy that the Dazzlings feed off of in the first place.
Now, mind you, I'm not trying to say that the Saja Boys would sweep the floor with them 100%, but I am saying that it would AT LEAST be a fair fight if not weighed in their favor. I'm tired of people saying that "The Dazzlings would win, no competition!" because yall are CLEARLY not thinking about the circumstances fairly. A lot of people are just biased towards the Dazzlings, either because of nostalgia or because they just don't like K-Pop Demon Hunters as a movie, and don't think any further beyond that. Yes, the Dazzlings are clever, and yes, they are competent. But they're also cocky high school girls and bullies, which even if that furthers their goal and spreads negativity for them to feed off of, does not automatically give them a win against a group of demons with actual genuine talent and charm that could easily match their own, and arguably more years of experience in the sly and sinister field.
But anyways, back to drawing and daydreaming about writing fanfics instead of actually writing them, and thinking about King Candy x Count Olaf because I'm perfectly healthy.

After President Donald Trump issued an executive order Tuesday that experts said could potentially disenfranchise millions, Democratic election officials and voting rights advocates swiftly vowed to fight it.
Elon’s in. Project 2025 is moving forward. And Trump has told us the plan out loud.
Max Flugrath for Zeteo:
“In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good you’re not going to have to vote.” That’s what Donald Trump told a crowd in 2024. If we didn’t know what he meant then, we do now. One of his latest executive orders is a lawless power grab to seize control of elections and silence voters. The order reads like a MAGA fever dream – giving unprecedented and likely unlawful powers to the president, and bulldozing our Constitution. It requires showing documents like passports or Real IDs to use the federal voter registration form – things many don’t have or would have to pay for – despite courts ruling this is illegal. Even conservative legal experts are calling it an unlawful overreach. This would impact at least 21 million eligible Americans’ voter registrations. With Black, Latino, rural, low-income, and naturalized voters most impacted – folks who already face systemic voting barriers. New Hampshire lawmakers passed a similar citizenship-document law, and voters were turned away from a recent local election. Giving Elon Musk and his so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) power to comb through state voter rolls may be the most dangerous part. Trump wants an unelected oligarch – with roots in apartheid South Africa – to help him decide who’s American enough to vote. DOGE’s weaponized incompetence is a recipe for mass database errors and thousands – maybe millions – of Americans’ voter registrations being wrongly canceled. Here’s MAGA’s likely plan: DOGE stirs up chaos, then Trump points to the mess as proof of election law violations – and uses it to block eligible voters. States that count mail ballots after Election Day could lose federal funds under Trump’s order. That means overseas and military ballots could be tossed – even if mailed on time. The newly-corrupted Justice Department is being told to enforce this gross and “bonkers” misinterpretation of federal law. The DOJ was also told to prioritize investigations of votes that violate election law and Trump’s order proclaimed the agency has “failed to prioritize and devote sufficient resources” to stop voting by people who aren’t citizens. Data going back to 2002 from the Heritage Foundation (the right-wing group behind Project 2025) found just 85 examples. But facts don’t matter under the Project 2025 playbook.
Bypassing Congress and the Courts
This executive order is how Trump plans to get what Congress and the courts haven’t yet handed him: control over who gets to vote. With a massive voter suppression bill up for discussion in the House Rules Committee this week, but facing steep odds in the US Senate, this order takes its most dangerous provisions and makes the documentation aspects worse. It echoes North Carolina’s 2013 voter ID law – struck down for targeting Black voters “with almost surgical precision” by choosing ID types they’re less likely to have. This whole scheme reads like a follow-up to the infamous call where Trump demanded Georgia’s secretary of state “find” him 11,780 votes he didn’t earn. That call featured one of this order’s likely architects, Cleta Mitchell – who helped Trump plot to seize voting machines in 2020. [...]
Time to Organize
We can’t sit by and count on the courts to save us. We are the check. That means speaking up, organizing, and showing up in local and state elections. The Constitution is clear: Congress and the states run elections. MAGA knows it. That’s why Musk dumped massive donations behind the MAGA candidate in the fast-approaching and crucial Wisconsin Supreme Court race. Demand that Congress do its job and rein in this rambling, maniacal wannabe king. Urge your governor not to comply. Push your election officials to stand up.
Fair Fight's Max Flugrath wrote in Zeteo that the Trump/Musk co-presidency is following the Project 2025 and DOGE playbooks in dismantling what is left of our nation’s democracy.
They just don't make games like this anymore...
Did y’all see this shit? Beautiful.
