Rather than do a masterlist of everything from this event since I didn’t get through the full prompt list, thought I’d pool together a few of my personal faves from previous ones.
Feint From FGW2020. Partners in the field have each other's backs at all times. Should things go south, and the tables turn, it helps to know intimately about their weapon. You need to be ready for everything, you know.
Soured From FGWE2020. “You know... I didn't think it'd still be this hot at this time of night.” The incredulous murmur from next to him had dark brows raising, a wry smirk already forming on Qrow's lips as he glanced over at the man. “You get used to it,” he replied with the barest touch of sympathy. Still... a vacation was a vacation, after all.
Imprint From FGW2021. “Oh no, you caught me out. Whatever will you do,” he intoned softly with a pointed roll of red eyes, and Clover returned the delicate laugh, giving the huntsman a gentle squeeze. He drew fingers away from his neck, reaching up to brush the underside of Qrow's chin in a brief touch of affection, bringing that gaze back to him. He allowed green eyes to skirt between those red eyes, so full of adoration for him, and he brushed knuckles further up to the curve of a cheek. “I've got a few ideas...” he murmured.
Spark From FGWE2021. “I've missed it, you know.” Green eyes glanced up, realising he'd yet to hear a reply to his words, and the light smile came to him, also realising he'd yet to expand on what it was he actually meant. “Ah, being outside, I guess,” he offered simply. “Being outdoors. Just... being anywhere other than civilisation for a change.”
Avail From Qrowtober 2021. “The way I see it, everyone here has their hands tied, and I tick all the boxes,” he told the brunet by simple way of explanation. “Qrow, you can't just-” “Experienced huntsman,” Qrow cut him off as he began counting upon his fingers. “A full eradication mission. Someone used to working solo. Something quick and deadly to stop it spreading.” He dropped his hands to his hips, not budging from those eyes. “In this room of options, I'm your only one.” Clover wanted to let the sigh slip from him, but gods he already knew he was right.
Linger From FGW2022. “Not all of us think with our stomachs, after all.” The snort tore from the brunet's lips, even as Clover turned his attentions back to a soggy grey layer. If he could wring the laughter from the huntsman, then he was already doing a good job. Even if he had an inkling of what else might have been whispering to his partner as rain of another kind poured down around them.
