It's well past their season, but I'm still revelling in the discovery of fairy inkcap on my maple tree. In my dream world, there would be beneficial mushrooms throughout the garden, decomposing old wood and feeding the plants to make them hale and hearty. Bonus points if they're edible. The tree is still alive, which is my only point of concern as they decompose dead wood, but can't hurt the live wood.
