Why, yes! They both got put into the same body while asleep, and have been living as one being for a little while! They like each other's company quite a bit, as you can see in this image below!

For who did this to them...? Everyone in the fakes au has a doppelganger, but one character has more than one, and that one isn't as metaphorical as you think.
