Dear Gus & Magnus,
We went to Magnus's school's fall carnival tonight. They had different activities in each classroom -- Treat Walk, Face Painting, Ring Toss, etc. Mom and I worked the circuit with Mags while Gus played outside with Rhett.
After, we went to watch the Trojan basketball teams in an exhibition game against UAPB. Women won, men lost.

Foodie Fun || Open
The blonde had tweeted that she was only at the carnival for competition and food, and here she was enjoying the latter. Stuffing her face with a beignet was peak pleasure. She hadn’t had a legit good one since her family’s trip to New Orleans nearly a decade ago now...
Drawing her finger across the top of the fried dough, she licked the powdered sugar off it. She couldn’t help but moan, it was sooo good. And she hadn’t indulged herself at all lately. “I swear I’m gonna try every damn thing in this carnival,” she said, more to herself than anyone.
“Wow!” Napua exclaimed when she saw the piles of leaves that lined the edge of the woods. She couldn’t contain herself; the gorgeous oranges and yellows and reds looked amazing, like a bucket of colorful candy or a koi pond.
“I know,” someone spoke up from behind her. “Wanna go jump in them?”

We had the PHE Fall Carnival and book fair tonight. You two each got balloon swords and scabbards and ran around like lunatics with all the other kids. Gus picked out a Lord Garmadon book and a book about predator animals.

We went to the Fall Carnival at Gus's school tonight. We pitched him the idea of wearing a costume different than his Halloween costume, but he's too excited about being "a black panfer -- the animal, not the superhero" to not wear it.
