Clarke Schmidt has been pitching very, very well!! He had 28.1 scoreless innings until Rooker from the A's hit a home run off of his 37th pitch of the game in the top of the 4th inning. Clarke started the 4th with only 28 pitches so far. He has two 7 pitch innings today!! He has the most success with breaking balls in the MLB. In his four starts in June so far, he's has a 1.03 ERA. His 28.1 scoreless streak is the longest since 1957-58 when Don Larsen pitched 29 scoreless innings. He was also the longest steak in a single season since 1951 when Allie Reynolds pitched 30 scoreless innings!! It's been a long time since a Yankees pitcher did this well!! Congratulations 🎊, Clarke!! Spectacular job pitching!!
