Hi I applied to graduate for October but I don’t want to attend convocation how do I get my diploma than ?

You will need to pick up your diploma in November from the Registrar’s office.

Hi there! My convocation is in October but because of my new job and relocation, I won't be able to attend. How would I be able to get my diploma? Thank you!

If you’re not going to Fall convocation then you’ll have to pick up your diploma in November from the Registrar’s Office.

Hello, I am wondering when york will email me for October convocation? I just finished my last course of my undergrad during su semester and the professor has posted our marks on moodle but when does york officially tell you that u are graduating?

They don’t because not every student attends convocation, it’s your responsibility to RSVP for convocation. The link for October convocation RSVP has not been made available yet: https://convocation.students.yorku.ca/ceremonies/rsvp

Again, York doesn’t email you and tell you, you have to check graduation eligibility yourself here: https://convocation.students.yorku.ca/preparing/eligibility Once the second audit goes through in September, you’ll be able to know if you’re officially graduating or not.

I'm freaking out right now. I applied to graduate for June but because of the strike I was unsure as all of my classes this semester were suspended. Every time I would check the graduation status nothing would show up. I checked today and it turns out I was eligible to graduate. Can I still go to the ceremony in October or have I completely missed my chance?

Yes you can still go to the convocation in October, the RSVP link will open in August.

It’s just taking place at Keele. So, if you’re from Glendon then you will be graduating at the Keele campus during the Fall convocation.

If I finish my degree in the summer time will I graduate then or do I have to wait for the convocation date to receive my degree? I will finish in the summer semester but wanted to start a post grad diploma that september

You’ll have to wait till convocation in October to get your degree, but you should still be able to apply for the post-grad diploma - that shouldn’t be hindered in anyway.
