Fall Themes

Chan: “Hey! Quick kicking up all the leaves I just raked. It’s getting chilly and I want to go inside.”

You paid no attention to his complaints, instead attempting to make as much noise as possible.  All you can think of is how ironic it is that he’s complaining when he wrote a song about it. Tsk. Tsk. You begin to hum the line from Get Cool under your breath while still disturbing his pile of leaves.

Woojin:  “Look at the warm tones surround us thanks to the changing of seasons”

This was out of the blue while you were quietly strolling through the park, off to the cozy alley shop that sold the best homemade fried chicken in the city. How that led to the both of you in a candle shop searching for a sent that vibed, “warm tones”, you had no clue. You just need to hurry up and find it before your hunger took over and convinced your brain to eat the candle smelling of fresh apple pie.

Minho: “Apple cider sounds like a poisonous drink to give a royal, don’t you think?”

You just nod your head in response because any verbal reply would fall on the deaf ears of a boy examining all the apple cider bottles in attempts to find the “most lethal” looking one. You soon join him, starting a competition to find the “most poisonous cider” first.

Changbin: “I’m only holding your hand because the wind is quite strong and you will probably be blown away.”

Rolling your eyes, you accept the warm gesture with a faint blush. He really needs to quit making jokes about your small frame considering he’s only half an inch taller. You lean your head onto his shoulder and relax during your daily walk around the neighborhood.

Hyunjin: “These boots were not made for hiking steep trails you know, they are more for fashionable purposes.”

This wasn’t exactly a spontaneous hike, your pretty sure it can’t even be considered a hike. You were just climbing up one flight of stairs to take a picture of the view which was his idea. To make the situation better, there were only ten steps and he was only on the fifth one. Shaking your head and giggling, you pulled him up the rest of the steps to enjoy the view together.

Jisung: “If I am to be reborn as a squirrel, I will make sure to come here and break into your bird feeder for food all winter.”

You don’t really know how to respond, that statement is just unusual. Though it is understandable how it came to be considering you both are looking out the window at two squirrels attempting to open the bird feeder you guys had set up. You end up just smiling at him then proceeding to take a sip from your mug.

Felix: “You are supposed to catch the football not scream and run from it you know.”

You can easily tell that he is internally laughing at you from how his shoulders are shaking in the efforts to stop himself. You just pick up the ball and proceed to kick it, aiming for his head. But thanks to your brilliance and athletic ability, the ball flew backwards behind you. Though it was way off target, you count it as a score seeing that it landed in the trash can.

Seungmin: “Is your goal to be those couples that match clothes? With that flannel, you are succeeding.”

You look up from your phone to see that he has chosen to wear the exact same flannel as you. You know from his smirk that he saw you wore that flannel considering you changed first. Now it’s time to decide who will have to change because matching clothes just isn’t how either of you roll.

Jeongin: “We should get the apple pie because pumpkin is an acquired taste that I don’t seem to have .”

You just stare at him, could he have worded that sentence any more complex? Both of you are at the store picking out a pie to bring to your nephew’s birthday party. You check your watch, if you don’t leave now, you’ll get stuck in traffic and arrive late. Taking the apple pie, you just roll your eyes and smile, grabbing his hand and walking to the cashier.
