The days passed, and the day of extermination drew nearer. She, too, had helped Charlie and the others defend themselves against the angels. And when the day came, the portal opened—the portal she knew, and she knew the leader of this army all too well: the first man, Adam.
Adam was the one who pulled you from your heartbreak when Lucifer chose Lilith, and you were the one who eased his heartbreak when Eve surrendered to Lucifer. This led to a strong friendship. Adam listened to you and your dreams, and you listened to his songs, some of which he even addressed to you. Until he became the leader of the exorcists, and the time with you dwindled. She had to pull herself together not to cling to these memories, especially since Lute was someone she could call her best friend.
And when these two saw her with the Morningstars, a feeling of envy washed over her. The girl who had been so close to them was now trapped in hell, through her dreams. When Adam broke through the shield, he was the first to fly to her after defeating Alisto and lifting her into his arms. "My dreamer, be careful around Lucifer, don't forget what he did to you." "Your dreams were always so beautiful to listen to, I will miss them." But before Adam could kill her, Lucifer was faster. He realized how paralyzed she was by Adam's words, and the only place she was safe was his palace, so he made her disappear. She watched the fight through a hologram. When Adam died, tears streamed down her cheeks. She knew what he was doing was wrong, but he had still spent so much time with her. They had helped each other through heartbreak, listened to each other, and offered the closeness they needed. It was never love, but such a strong bond through shared experiences held them together.
• Lucifer was worried about you; your condition worsened.
• He was always with you, his wings wrapped around you to give you a place of peace.
• After days, he brought you back to the new hotel, where so many people stared at you.
• You and Charlie spent time together, grieving Sir Pentious' death.
• After weeks of mourning, you slowly began to feel better because what What remained of Adam for you was a small bracelet, one that resembled his and your halo.
The Vees had been waiting for this day, the day she would walk the streets alone; the plan to become gods could only come true with her. And as fate would have it, she happened to be passing the TV tower, and Vox was the first one standing in front of her. "Oh Miss (Name), it's an honor to finally meet you in person." The Overlord smiled charmingly at her and brought her hand to his screen as if to kiss it. In all her time in Hell, she hadn't had any real contact with other Overlords besides Alastor, so she went with him into the building. Even though Alastor had made it clear that she shouldn't trust Vox, she was curious about what the Vee were like. As soon as she entered the building, all eyes were on her and Vox. Vox wore his familiar, confident grin, but she knew she couldn't trust it. Vox led her to a lounge where Velvete and Valentino were waiting for the Angel and Vox.
• Velvete jumped up from her chair and took pictures of you, saying, "You look devilishly good! I knew Angels were breathtaking!"
• You weren't quite sure how to respond to the compliment, so you smiled politely at Velvet.
• "Oh girl, you could be such a good model!"
• "Stay calm, Velvet," came a captivating voice, followed by a puff of red smoke that made you feel slightly dizzy.
• A long arm wrapped around your waist as you staggered, something soft nestled against your cheeks, and as you looked up at the red cloak, a pair of eyes stared at you through red-tinted, heart-shaped glasses.
• "Don't worry, we'll be gentle with you, Princesa."
• But before the three could continue, an assistant rushed in, whispering something to Vox.
Before Vox and the others could do anything, Lucifer entered, possessively wrapping his arm around her waist and pulling her close. "I'm sorry, you three, but (Name) is no one who would work for you, so now leave her alone."
With these words, he led her out of the building, where she had to take a deep breath. Lucifer knew perfectly well that she was too innocent for this place; he had to protect her from corruption, even though it wasn't something he stood for, he had to try. He longed for her so much that he would do anything to make things like they used to be.
In the TV Tover, however, tensions were running high among the Vees. "HOW COULD LUCIFE KNOW WHERE SHE WAS?!" Vox roared angrily. She was the only way the three of them could get to Heaven. So he had to keep trying.
As Vox told the others about his plan, Valentino barely registered his voice, too busy sketching pictures of her in his notebook. She was depicted in suggestive poses, wearing short clothes that revealed her bare skin. Valentino was thinking about how untouched she must be, her virginity practically screaming to be taken. The thought of him moving between her legs, the sweet melody of her moans, drove him wild.
And Velvette? She thought about how perfect she would look in each of her collections, and what she would do when she got her wings, the most beautiful dress ever. The thought made her grin: an angel wearing her collection, looking divine. Velvette needed her to be her model.
Lucifer knew what was coming, so he worked to rebuild what he and she had before his fall; he wanted to rekindle the old flame of passion within her. And one evening, as he lay with her in his bed, his wing wrapped around her body like a blanket, her hand holding his as she slept peacefully, he knew he was close to his goal. Her dreams were directed toward him, and him alone.
