12. Do you prefer writing main or minor canon characters?

I like both! So far I’ve taken on both more well-known characters like Wallace, Lotor, Zoey and the MHS2 protag, but I’ve had a lot of fun as well playing the lesser-known characters such as Ursula, Alwin and Princess Allie (on Discord). They’re both great because main characters have more material to work with and interpret, but with minor characters you get to go “this is free real estate.”

What with all the kids running around solving everyone’s problems, can Leagues still be trusted as leaders of our communities?

      “Oh hell fucking no. And this is coming from someone who led a League. I guess some of them are okay, but the ones who thought it was a good idea to let ten-year-olds run their shit? I wouldn’t trust them as far as I could throw them. You have no idea how hard it was to sit in some of those meetings with foreign Leagues knowing that sitting right in front of you are a bunch of people who would have thrown me to the dogs just like Lotor did. I don’t know how I ever managed to strike deals or come to an understanding with people who I would love--just love--to campaign against.”

NADIA

      “Of course we can. I won’t pretend that children solving adult problems isn’t a problem, but keep in mind, those ten-year-olds aren’t always the ones who are running things. How many of those ten-year-olds are actually becoming Champions? How many of those ten-year-olds are actually at the negotiating table? It’s honestly an oversimplification to say that all Leagues are helpless in comparison to the kids who have been so-called ‘doing their jobs for them.’ We tend to forget that Leagues are a source of law and order when law and order fails to do its job, and I think we need to be a little more grateful.”
