Our story begins. We see a log floating atop a river, when a white paw suddenly bursts out from the depths. As this happens, a series of unidentified voices frantically shout at each other.

Fallenkit drags herself out of the water, clinging frantically to the log. Beside her the frantic mews of Tuftkit and Mistkit tell her she isn't alone.

She calls for help, but no one will hear her.

Their clan wrongfully assume the kits could not have survived the incident.
