It's strange. I've deconstructed my faith more than once over the years. I believe intellectually; I've seen and felt God's hand in my life for well over a decade, maybe even most of my life that I can actually remember. None of that has changed, but I'm still falling away.

I still believe in His power, in His love, but no matter how hard I try, I can't make myself believe that He'll heal these spiritual wounds that just won't stop bleeding. Not mine.

(I've prayed for healing, of course, I cried out for strength when I still had hope, and after it withered. And I keep praying still, I don't even know why.)
