Meeting friends was a great way to get rid of bad feelings when theycame up to one’s mind. Bae knew it, and therefore never missed an opportunityto meet his most cherished ones. Since he was exhausted by his working life,albeit being waiter in a small restaurant was not the most tiring job of all inthe eyes of many people, he sometimes had trouble finding good reasons to smile. In goodcompany, though, it was never hard to smile again. Not for him, at least.
“Haven’t you ever heard of the healing power of laughter?
“Is this power the same than thatof a good meal?” He asked as his lips curled in a wide smile and he went onstirring his cup of coffee. His mother always associated good meals with goodfeelings. Those who ate well, she said, were often happier than those whofasted too regularly. But what surprise was it from the mouth of a restaurantowner, ready to cook for whoever needed it?
