super mild spoilers for the Fallout show, season 1 episode 7 (I think I even worded it cryptically enough that it still wouldn’t be a spoiler if you accidentally read it)
it was rly nice of the people in charge of the music to put our special far cry 5 lovesong, a little video game treat, in the other video game’s show :)
An analysis of the Fallout season 2 finale breakdown, exploring the New Vegas narrative shift and Robert House’s digital role.
In the Season 2 finale, Robert House survives as code—a flickering presence guiding the Ghoul through New Vegas' ruins. The narrative pivot honours the game's open endings while asking: what remains when ambition outlives the body? It's a quiet meditation on legacy and loss, the kind that lingers like northern winter light on empty streets. What futures do we carry forward?
Strap in my darlings, cuz here comes a full-blown Barbara Howard character analysis rant haha.
Okay, I love how we're getting to see more of Barb this season because I feel that she's a really compelling character with a lot of potential. But I'll be honest, I'm so disappointed that they scapegoated all Barb's behavior/choices. Media needs to start letting badass women make selfish choices of their own accord and for their own reasons, rather than always giving them scapegoat excuses like "It wasn't her fault, she didn't have a choice & was forced." or "She only did that because they mistreated her so horrendously first."
Let women be bad!
Let Barb be ruthless and determined and ambitious and devoted to her cause instead of stuffing her solely into the role of wife and mother.
I wanted "Ruthless corporate den mother" but they shoehorned her into the role of "Helpless corporate lackey" and that just doesn't sit right with me.
