What’s going on with False? A long, fairly comprehensive guess.

Reacting to this post by @kelp-my-beloved​ about False. It’s a list of unanswered questions. It pretty neatly summarized all the moving parts, and I think I have something that answers most of them.

1. Pumpkin Jack

I think Jack is another one of hc!False’s creations. In one of her memories, e!False is encased in green glass, probably to imply she was in some kind of birthing chamber, before being killed by hc!False, implying that it was hc!False’s lab, annd e!False is something she created. Considering Jack has a pumpkin head, which is the most common way of making artificial life in minecraft, it seems likely that he too may have been a science experiment.

2. The signs/ The resources

Most likely, e!False is some kind of sleep walker, and she, or at least her body, is gathering these resources and placing these signs. Originally I assumed it was her pre mind wipe persona peeking through and leaving warnings. However, in her Empires episode 15, she seems to have recovered a good chunk of her memory, but is still reacting to the “Kill her” sign as if it was someone else. So I’m guessing from here that e!False is possessed by some outside force.

From these two ideas, we can start to create a narrative that seems to close a lot of the questions. It seems that hc!False was working on some strange experiment with this entity that for some reason needed a vessel. She experimented to create the perfect vessel. One experiment turned into Pumpkin Jack, but he was not suitable for possession, so eventually she found the solution which would become e!False.

3. The Murders

This handily explains why e!False is so murderous, and why she describes this as an “impulse”. There is some other entity inside her that has wants that aren’t exactly what she does, and it causes her to want to kill and steal.

4. hc!False

It also explains why hc!False is so scared of e!False, or rather, she isn’t scared of e!False, but the thing possessing her. Also, considering Jack is also there, I assume hc!False has been using empires as a dumping ground for failed experiments, which might come up. Presumably, she wiped e!False’s memory in hopes that it would wipe out the entity, like in Gravity Falls, then sent her to another dimension for good measure. Apparently, that was not enough.

Even if this is right, we still have a bunch of unanswered questions, specifically: why did hc!False want to engage with the entity? What exactly is entity, what does it want, and is it related to the fog somehow? But for now, I think I’m onto something.

5. Time

I think e!False’s belief that time is running out is a result of the entity having a plan that must be enacted soon, and that what ever is going to happen is going to happen soon, before time runs out.

ps. Just to really finish out the unanswered questions, my understanding is that e!False’s clothes are from season 1 Fwhip. No idea what the implications of that are. I also have no clue why False was shocked when she looked at the rift. It might have been grumbot stopping her, but I don’t know.

A theory on when e!False killed the other one

So, given the recent episode, I think it makes sense to assume that e!False at some point murdered h!False while on empires, more presicely between episode 31 of her Hermitcraft, and 13 of empires.

Starting of, the cat. If we assume it's been hiding with the head the whole time it dissapeared, we would have to put the murder before episode 13 at the most (while not mentioned, if you look at the bridge where they usually sit, you'll notice its empty). We can also see them in episode 31st of hermitcraft.

I'm pretty sure however that it happened between episode 31 of False's Hermitcraft, and 12 of Empires. If you pause the screen on the episode of empires at 4.20 (nice), you can see that e!False is having some sort of flashback of seeing h!False in early Hermitopia. h!False first time there is on her 31st episode, so it has to be after that, but shortly after, as not much has changed on the surroundings.

Compare the screenshots:

Same chest with sign, the sheeps are next to the cobblestone walls, plus the scaffolding.

If we believe the visions are flashbacks, and with h!false looking directly at the screen, there's no way she didnt see the empire one. My best guess is that we were shown the moment right before murder, and e!False used one of her amnesia potions on h!False.

One last point. e!False said that she had killed the other one a few times, but only has one head to show for it. My guess is the other times were before she came to empires, giving that otherwise I think she would either have displayed the other false's heads, or at least kept them with the rest of her collection

I know this stands no grounds upon close inspection but. what if Pix's theory about somebody harvesting the power of "unconsciousness" or however you want to call it wasn't entirely wrong, but he just had the wrong person

what if the person who does the sketchy stuff for false was behind it (collect resources for her, leave signs). What if it's a third false that comes forward when e!false is asleep. And is the one harnessing the power to do whatever she's trying to do

What the hell is going on with False 2

AKA It got even more complicated.

This is a new version of this post because the lore got too complicated, a few points were practically answered, and new questions appeared. Let's hope this one last longer.

Basically, I'm trying to summarize all the unanswered questions in falsesymmetry lore, and summarise the mistery. If you think I should add something, feel free to let me know or make your own addition.

So, I've summarized the mistery into a few points that I think a good theory should be able to answer, the key points to the lore.

(Quick notes:

e!False = empires' False

h!False = hermitcraft's False)

E!False's clothes: On episode two, e!False finds a dead guy and steals their clothes, and that's how she got her iconic look. Where did they come from? Who are they?

Those Weird Signs: Here's a post with all the signs to keep as reference. Who is putting them? What do they mean?

Pumpkin Jack: That bloody Pumpkin with so little lore. He was seen in Gobland, and then on Cogsmeade on episode 4. Jack moves around as he pleases, which got him in jail by episode 9. On episode 10, he's found murdered, and in compensation set free on a wheat field. He seems to get stronger as he eats. Plus, Joe Hills made a few pumpkin references on his episode 40 of hermitcraft. Who is this guy and what's his deal?

e!False murders: We saw her murder Pixlriffs and IJevin, and we know she murdered another False at some point, and Cojomax99 though we havent seen that last one on empires. She confesses to having murder impulses on episode 15, and on episode 7 after killing Sausage on self defense, she describes something coming over her that made her do it.

e!False and h!False deal: A headache. h!False confesses having erased e!False's memories, though it apparently didnt fully work. e!False on the 15th episode seems to have a negative opinion of her, and h!False calls the other one evil and dangerous. e!False often has flashbacks that includes them both in some sort of lab.

Gathered resources: Often, resources that e!False needs just appear out of nowhere. She seems to think she does this while asleep, or at least while being unconcious, as they are often related to dreams she has.

Glitchs/Flashbacks/Visions: Basically, what do each one of them mean.

Rift and Tower Electric Shock: When e!False gets a little too close to the spy tower h!False built, she gets a little electric shock. We can guess this is one of the security measures h!False talks about putting in place. However, h!False had her own electric shock when she got too close to the rift back in Hermitcraft before it was ready to be crossed. Nobody else seemed to have that problem in either front though.

Why does e!False insist that time is running out?

e!False past: This refers to why she has no memories, what did she do to get h!False to call her evil, and how she ended up in Empires.

like 3 people will look at this BUT it's false discussion time. who was the one being experimented on? has e!false harmed hc!false or vice versa? what is the timeline of the false stuff along with hermitcraft?
