False Peace master post
This is a compilation of all the currently-posted material on my mech setting, which takes inspiration from Armored Core, Battletech, cyberpunk fiction, and many more to create a wonderfully bleak world to mess around in.
eventually, this lore will serve as the backbone for whatever creative projects I decide to use it for, be that longer, narrative-driven stories, a TTRPG, or even a video game. Regardless, for now, here's a compilation of all the lore I have thus far (the post will be edited to include new information every time I post a new work):
Introduction to the False Peace (a primer for the vibe and basic lore of the setting.)
Mechs of the Setting (a brief rundown on the four primary types of mech in the world.)
Combat aircraft, Miyazaki storms, and tanks. (An answered ask with tidbits of lore about war in the world, as well as a description of Miyazaki Storms.)
Tin Soldiers. A lore blurb discussing the Soldiers of Fortune known as Tinmen, their role in the new world and the kind of jobs they frequently take.
The Knights (part 1, part 2) a discussion of the Knights of Svalbard.
City-States of the False Peace: a discussion of the City-States that form the bulk of civilization in the new world.
Politics of the False Peace: a discussion of the alliances, treaties, and power blocs that comprise the international order of the Post-War world.
Steinhauser's Wrath: A short fiction piece showing the capabilities of the Veteran leader of the Steinhauser group and his Gen 3 mech
