Guys KitKats are canon/referenced in Big Hero 6: The Series ! n.n

Look, you can't tell per the BH6 wiki screenshots, but you watch this ep on a big TV and the first commenter is KitKat_808

And yes, the term (even down to the K) is older than the candy, the exact phrasing with the two Ks being a type of meat pie sold by a pastry chef in a 17th century club. But let's be real, the chances of it being anything other than the KitKats we know and love is slim XD

Assuming 808 means something, that's either August 8th or August 2008 depending how you want to make of it. Hey maybe that could be Kat in Heroes of Flowers by @spyrkle4 or the version I write in my Clan Kase series :D

wild that a lot of people are aware of what fanfiction is, and yet still the only even slightly thoughtful discussion of fanfiction in mainstream media is an episode of big hero 6 the series

After seeing @toastypockets‘s post, I had to see it for myself. And yup...there it is.

It actually pains me that no one wants to bother to advertise this. Heck, I didn’t even know about it, and I had been looking for almost a year and a half to see if there was going to be a second volume.

Now, I’m glad it’s coming out, but good lord. At least put a press release out.

(Unless there was a press release put out and I didn’t see it, so disregard in that case.)

Now that we know that there won’t be original stories and it will be retellings of the episodes, the question now is whether they will be more season 1 episodes or if the book will move to season 2.

If you’re going to do season 1...might I suggest “Fan Friction”? I would love to see that in manga form.

Friendly reminder that “Karmi’s allowed to have fun with her fanfiction” and “Hiro’s allowed to hate it” are statements that can co-exist.

I wish the series actually respected Hiro’s discomfort, instead of forcing him to “get over it.” I still hate how the gang talked to Hiro about it.

Especially when you consider even the series itself points out that within their universe, Karmi’s writing fanfiction about real people. And at the end of the day, it’s up to the real person the fanfiction is about, to decide wheter or not it’s okay.

Hiro was definitely not okay with it and just because he eventually grew “okay” with it, doesn’t change the fact his discomfort was never respected during the time he wasn’t.
