Damn, it's been like almost a year since I last logged in...

I definitely miss BH6, but being away from it made me self-reflect a bit and realize I don't love BH6 as much as I love Hiro. So, without Hiro, I just find it hard to care about this franchise.

I also had the realization I don't love the series as much as I used to. I mean, I still have very fond memories of when the series aired, especially the s1 era still means a lot to me, partly because of the fandom hype. Back then it wasn't just a show, it was an experience.

Don't get me wrong, I still like it and it's not nearly as bad as the haters claim it is, but I wouldn't really call it good either (tbf, that's partly because Disney didn't have faith in it). I realized I just tolerated a lot of the series just to see more of Hiro... who also got done dirty a lot.

Idk, I've just been having a lot of mixed feelings about BH6 lately. So, will I ever return to this blog? I honestly can't say for sure.

I haven't been on here in almost half a year, but I just couldn't miss BH6's 10th anniversary, even if I'm technically late (it's still November 7th somewhere in the world, right?)

The gifset ended up being a lot more grief-oriented than I originally planned, but as I was trying to look for moments to gif... those are just the ones that stood out to me and I decided to roll with it, because at the end of the day that's what BH6 means to me.

I've loved BH6 many years before I lost my mother, but I also think that's why I latched onto it's theme of grief so hard once my mother passed. I already loved this movie, so it already had it's arms open wide to welcome me as a coping mechanism.

I hope my gifset's not too much of a bummer, but grief has always been my fave theme in BH6 and since it's gotten personal 3.5 years ago, I doubt that's gonna change any time soon.

Still not sure when I'll be able to properly return to this blog, so many other fandoms and some irl stuff are constantly keeping me busy, but just know my love for BH6 is still strong. It's still one of my top fave Disney movies and shaped so much of my life back in 2014, which I unironically consider one of the happiest years of my life and BH6 definitely added to why.

On the one hand my plan to keep this blog active through reblogs hasn't been going so well (still have no idea when I'll be able to fill the queue again), but on the other hand at least my plan to be more active with gifsets has been going better than last year...

Though, it's not hard to do better than the only 2 gifsets I made last year. But it's only May and I've already made 4 gifsets this year, so at least I'm heading in the right direction with that plan.

Not quite back yet, but just wanted to pop in to say Hiro and Megan's friendship is still one of my fave things in the series.

Hiro deserves a friend his own age that isn't a rival or painfully forced romance, and out of the three teenage girls the show introduced, Megan had the least amount of forced romance tropes. And she also brought some much needed normality to Hiro's life.

So, um... yeah, the queue is empty and I'm really not sure when I'll be able to fill it up again.

That "being more active this year" plan of mine was actually going pretty well... but then Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss happened, and it's been taking up all my time, energy and attention for the past few months.

I guess the BH6 franchise is just too dead right now to truly keep my attention for long periods of time.
