Random Thoughts part???

Who doesn't like living in their own fantasy world? Creating their own universe based on their favorite movie /series?

I love it, but then I look and watch the series for the hundredth time and look at the relationship between the main characters and I'm like oh my god what have I created?! It doesn't look like the relationship between the characters in the series at all.

The best thing is that no matter how much it deviates from the plot everyone will still understand what you mean, especially people who understand and are on the side of a given ship.

I recently started writing some fic and suddenly had an epiphany that it has nothing to do with the real story of the characters or the main plot. We only take the main skeleton from the series to base our idea on and then the magic happens.

That's how it was when I was writing about Macaque and Wukong. And I still read these different thoughts about their relationship. And I think that makes sense. Then I look at my life's work and I'm like oh shit. Because I romanticized them or my versions of Macaque and Wukong differ from those in the series, there are of course similarities because the skeleton of the plot is the same as the events in the series. But I have this, what's wrong with me that I didn't notice it earlier?

Where is this romance in the series?!

Oh.. no, it's not. But we are the ones who give life to this ship, as creators, we love it. And it's wonderful. We give it life in our imaginations.

Yeah.. and then imagining a given scene for a few moments, but it never comes. Too bad. Do you know how many cool stories could come to life and create a series out of them?

Oh, that would be interesting.

Example: Land of Paintings and Tunnels

LoPaT:

Description: LoPaT is a desolate planet with very little life, whether it be flora or fauna. Huge mounds graze the horizons in every direction, seemingly keeping the world in a perpetual dawn. These mounds will be the main places to visit, as this is where the only consorts on the planets live. These mounds also have the unique feature of having thousands of tunnels bored into them, snaking their passages into the crust of the planet. The inside of these ever stretching passages are lines with paintings of all kinds, some complex, some simplistic. One thing seems to be certain, the painting are alive, and they’re trying to tell you something. The tunnels also seem to shift as the player walks through, and they can never be sure where they will be deposited, if at all.

Problem: The problem is that the paintings weren’t always alive. The denizen of the planet locked the consorts away by infusing the paintings with the life essence of the consorts. The player has to learn to understand how the paintings can communicate to them in a meaningful way, and learn how to free the trapped souls of the consorts.

Solution: Some of the tunnels will lead to huge dungeons full of traps, loot, and new mysteries to solve. The issue is, the solutions cannot be found, they don’t exist. In order to solve the puzzles, the player must become in-tune with their inner doom mindset to bypass the puzzles. Once the player truly understands that the puzzles that were inhibiting them are truly unsolvable, and are comfortable with that fact, only then will they be able to make headway into the dungeons. Once the player meets with their denizen, they will give them the choice to either sacrifice their ability to save the consorts in order to learn how to interpret the paintings, or have the denizen destroy thee grist horde to free the consorts’ souls. The “correct” decision would be to understand that the consorts will never receive their bodies back, and that saving them would be a futile choice. After learning how to understand the paintings, they will guide the player through a huge dungeon to a weapon capable of killing their denizen.

World Changes: After the denizen is defeated, the player has enough knowledge to teach the consorts how to communicate with the paintings, leading them to move on and rebuild society on the planet. The sun will finally rise in the sky due to the new life and capability to expand given to the consorts by the doom player. By embracing their doom aspect fully, they’re able to give new life to those who needed it most.
