And everyone: be nice to your fandom content creators, we literally do all of this for free because we love it. But I know a lot of people are feeling a lack of engagement and some of the best artists/writers are having a hard time as a result.
“But you’re doing this for you, right?” Yes but grow up, we need some sort of feedback to be able to improve and develop.

Hell is shipping a rare pair and not being able to find content for it. Then realizing you yourself can make the content and then realizing you do not have the motivation nor skill to actually conceptualize anything so you're just left with a bunch of unsaid brainrot and it therefore manifests into big attention problems cause you are constantly daydreaming and building onto a concept that's never going to be fleshed out or actually done
TFW you’re drawing something for the Dream SMP anniversary and, because you take so long to draw, by the time you’ll have finished it and want to start making art for the Ranboo lore stream it’ll be irrelevant
tfw you desperately want to make fanart of a character whose physical appearance is completely beside the point of everything that character is.
from media that is from that character’s perspective, because it’s extremely important that you’re never looking AT the character. That interiority is a big part of the point of the entire exercise.
buuut you’re a visual artist first and foremost and you LOVE the story and it makes you want to MAKE THINGS.
