Since we are gonna get a movie adaptation of Winx Club, which is meant to be more faithful to the tone of the original source material while also being more mature, I thought I'd do a fan-cast. I, of course, made sure the characters of color were cast racially correct. Unlike my other fan-casts, I had the images be in color instead of the usual black and white because of how Fate sucked all the color out of the source material. I'm also not including anyone from Fate (Save for Elisha Applebaum for Lucy, which is a better choice for her than Musa) because I wanted to do something new and not cheat. Plus, there are actors I feel could do a better job even if I didn't have a problem with their performances. I hope you guys like it and comment letting me know what you think. NO RUDE COMMENTS!

Since we’re in the time of bringing stuff from the 80′s & 90′s back can we get a revamped version of Mummies Alive? That show was dope even if it had its cheesy moments.

Here’s my fancastings

Ja-Kal/Chadwick Boseman: The defacto leader of the group. Ja-Kal has a sort of dignified sense of leadership about him. I felt like Chadwick really exemplifies that sense of his character. He’s changing animal symbols and gods (it’s hinted Ja-Kal is connected to Ra/Horus), but I really think this works. 

Rath/Isaiah Mustafa: Isaiah has some background playing supernatural characters such as his role as Luke Garroway in Shadowhunters. I decided to go with him since Rath is known as the “sorcerer” of the group. 

Nefer-Tina/Lupita Nyong’o: I feel like this casting really makes sense to me. Nefer-Tina is the spunky and energetic member of the team. She’s also the most open to learning about the modern world which I feel is similar to Lupita’s character, Nakia, who wanted to branch out from Wakanda. 

Armon/Winston Duke: The strongest and most physical of the group. Armon is also known for making wisecracks which reminded me of Winston as M’Baku who was known for doing the same.

How's TVD2 and the fake married fic coming along? Also, do you have a certain actor or person in your head when you write moran?

i am HORRIBLY BEHIND on all the writing I want to do. I think this message came just when I was getting better a little? And was promptly hit in the face with various job interviews and observations and exercises and Friend Time, which has seriously messed with my internal schedule. My inner writing is rearing at the bit rn.

So right now... The fake married fic is steadily chugging along. TVD2 has had a bit of a break, which is probably a good thing because now I can attack it again with full vigour (I already have had several new ideas to try and ease in). What I’ve been working on most these last week or two is the HP fic (which has reached a wopping 20.000 words but is nearing its finishing line), a genderqueer!Jim fic which I’ve been writing on-and-off for three years or something, and a Richard Brook fic. Plan is to do another whole-day-of-writing on TVD 2, and finish the married fic somewhere inbetween, providing all goes well.

As for the actor/person... I have a vague image of Moran in my head when I write, but it doesn’t really match any actor I know. There are a fair few people that come close or have certain characteristics (i.e. physicality: Tom Hardy, Daniel Craig; voice/way of speaking: Craig Parkinson, Dominic West... that match my headcanon-Moran, but it’s never 100%. You can find more about that in my fancasting tag, if you feel like browsing a bit.

But as I’ve said before, you’re very much encouraged to imagine your own version. The only things I’ve “confirmed” are that he’s athletic, scarred, sandy-haired, tallish, and has grey eyes, which gives you a lot of wriggle room. Because the thing about Moran... One of the most defining things about his appearance the way I write him, is that he’s immensely attractive, and since attractiveness differs from person to person, it feels right to leave the details up to the reader. Want to know how I want you to imagine Moran? Just picture someone really really hot.

Hiii and before I get started, I'm SUPER sorry about the delay! It's been a couple busy days I'm afraid...

Your lips have one of the prettiest Cupid bows I've ever seen...! Also your eyes are ownright gorgeous in color and shape, 10/10 would revisit selfie tag.

My first thought and one that came by the hand of your colouring palette was Lydia Martin. You've got the looks: pretty mouth, gorgeous eyes, strawberry hair... But then my inner Leonardo DiCaprio popped up and went "We must go deeper..." And so I did.

There is something very kind in your expression and posts, very sweet and understanding, and staying that way is no easy feat these days, nor does it require a small amount of courage. I think my final casting call would be Sansa Stark from A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones), both for your beauty, palette and demeanor.

Hi Nico! First of all, let me say that you manage to look both cute and mysterious in your selfies?? Brownie points to you my friend!

I am thinking about mainly two casting choices: the first is your uncanny ressemblance to Arya Stark, from ASoIaF, as I envisioned the character in their apprenticeship in the House of Black and White (i strongly headcanon her as agender/nonbinary). The second, and far less original (since it basically jumped at me after reading your about page), would be the Chesire Cat from Pandora Hearts. I think you'd be a fantastic casting choice for both characters!

My first thought was along the lines of “Well, when I said you were Eowyn’s daughter, I did mean it!” but on further inspection and careful scientific research that included half a mug of tea and a couple of out loud “hmmm”s, I’ve concluded that your casting can go two ways:

Staying in the Tolkien Universe: there’s something youthful and joyous in your face, so I’d cast you as either Nessa or maybe Yavanna (you could totally work a flower crown!!!).

Going into the wild parage that is the Marvel Universe: I am thinking along the lines of Jessica Jones aka Jewel!

I have a bit of a dilemma here. At first I just slammed down the big imaginary Red Button of Decision Made and went “TEDDY ALTMAN aka HULKLING WE HAVE A WINNER DEAR AUDIENCE" but then a contender creeped to the front of my mind "what about Carol Danvers with that amazing cut, you know the one, I know you do” it said, and it wouldn’t go away so? Here we are, with a double casting (and my poorly contained devotion for Carol’s mohawk-ish cut)!!! Those cheekbones would go far in both castings I tell you.
