I was thinking about the different kinds of flames the Rengokus embody and well. Kyojuro is obviously very bright, sometimes ferocious, it’s kind of like blazing, controlled field burn. Has a purpose, is contained, and not harmful (to humans. demons are the fields lmao). However I’d also agrue he’s a, when calmed down and in a more domestic setting, a softly warm campfire of sorts. He’s also a torch. 

Senjuro on the other hand is a candle. A stationary one. He’s a small flame, softly lighting what it can. It just fits him. 

SHINJURO THO. oh that man. he started out a field burn but it got, out of hand and then became a raging forest fire. And when it was done, he was the smoldering ashes left in the wake.

Roswell

My biggest disappointment with Roswell, NM is the fact that no one has made a fanvid to Motorway to Roswell by The Pixies. It is surpassed my disappointment in Teen Wolf fandom for never making a vid to I Was a Teenaged Werewolf by The Cramps. Come on, people.

YOU KNOW WHAT I WANT. More angry Nezuko. In general but I’m specifically talking about in kamado sibling role swaps. I want her to snap. I want her to try and mimic what she thinks her elder brother would be like. I want her to wonder why she’s so angry because she wasn’t before. I want her cry because she doesn’t have the same support she had before tanjiro was a demon because he’s still there obviously and trying but he’s a demon and it’s just not the same. I want her to be so happy when she bonds with mitsuri because it reminds her of being with her mom. I want her to ANGRY

I’m kind of thinking about how physically abusive Shinjuro was to the boys. We know he was neglectful and distant, Absolutely verbally abusive. We as an audience however only see/know of once instance physical abusive towards specifically Senjuro. That could be taken that Shinjuro was regularly hitting his kid but I don’t know if quite buy that. For one this was right after Kyojuro died (to be clear this doesn’t make it BETTER. At all.) so he was likely already in a heightened, more aggressive state of mind. Most of the memories (and dream portrayals) of Shinjuro from Kyojuro are distant and mouthy. Which, that could be just Kyojuro softening the image of his dad in his head. I saw a post make a good point that most of the scenes we see of Shinjuro (post Ruka’s death) do not show his face. We see his face before Ruka’s death though, when he was still a good dad and hashira. So concluding…we don’t know. I have doubts that Kyojuro would. Let Senjuro remain in the house with Shinjuro if there was any level of physical abuse, even despite his optimistic views of his dad. Idk

I think a lot about that concept I saw in a fic that Kyojuro wasn’t as strong as he could be, that his flame breathing was as raging as it could’ve been because his father didn’t teach him. He learned from book, which considering the nature of flame breathing just seems like an immediate handicap. And that makes me think of the fucking like. Guilt Shinjuro must feel. Do you think he thinks about the fact that Kyojuro could’ve been strong enough to survive if he had just been there. Do you think he has dreams of the last words Kyojuro ever said to him? Does he dream of his little boy, young and small, covered in blood? Do you think he just sits there with the words Kyojuro left for him? Wishing him well. Cause I do and well. he kind of deserves it.

Started making a Nie brothers playlist and added "Haunted" by Radical Face and now I'm thinking of NHS as the singer and I may have made myself cry

I think demon slayer appeals to me personally cause. Themes of grief. Siblinghood. Something else I can’t put a name on.
