@pocket-pickett was telling @blue-maelstrom and I last night that she was editing her fic and singing along to “DANCE DANCE” by Fall Out Boy, having a “what year is it?!?” moment.
As we continued to sing along via messenger to FOB, we came to the song “Thnks fr th Mmrs” - and while I have a couple of memories associated with the song (including the time my dance teacher choreographed a warm-up dance to it in tap class for us - all I remember is that the refrain started with a toe-heel march forward [4 toe-heels] and then several paradiddles during the ‘thanks for the memories, even if they weren’t so great’ part) THE memory that I recalled at the time was the scene from a Death Note fan flash.
Then we fell into a hole. A What Year Is It hole of fandom past. Particularly Death Note, but with some other things. And now I present to you...those videos that we watched in nostalgic fun last night:
