Uh, theoretically. Mostly it seems to be equal parts improv comedy a la Whose Line Is It Anyway and elaborate twists and reveals/campaigns of psychological warfare upon the participants.

Deltarune - After about five seconds of research I have determined that it is about some guy with a TV head who's stuck in a horror game-themed restaurant and despite everything it's still a restaurant

Omori - Almost all the gifs that show up when I search The Crane Wives on my keyboard are based around this so I'm gonna say it's a Deltarune AU with lots of cranes and a few wives

Oh oh, okay uh, my meta talks sometimes about trailers for the movie coming out. She's like, Clark's cousin and she has a poorly trained dog? And she shows up from Krypton looking for Clark like eventually but takes forever because of some spacetime shenanigans or something and she was like already an adult maybe? So she like remembers Krypton? Vegeta? Is she Vegeta?

For dashboard osmosis: Supernatural, mwahahahaha! (This is so unfair, my representation of it is so destiel-centric it has undoubtedly given a deeply skewed view, but that's fandom for you, lol!)

My Supernatural osmosis goes back pre-tumblr, I'm pretty sure, but sure, let's give it a go!

Second generation vampire hunters hunt demons and shit. The older brother had to do all the parenting of his younger brother when they were children; also, their mom was set on fire and pinned to the ceiling like a bug when the younger brother was a baby. Both of these events (and possibly also a run of dead girlfriends) have given the brothers epic levels of manpain. The younger brother has Giles' job. Unlike Buffy, the brothers do not have a local Hellmouth; they are on a neverending roadtrip in a Chevy Impala. (Except at some point they do acquire a "Bunker" so presumably they stop roadtripping at some point?)

The show suffered from hard-core misogyny charges at the beginning (see the dead mom and girlfriends), but I eventually stopped hearing about that. I was never entirely clear on whether this was because the most vocal objectors stopped watching, or if the show eventually managed to beat the allegations by bringing in cool women characters and refraining from fridging them. (I do know they brought in cool women characters! I especially like Sam's Deaf girfriend, and also the redhead that runs Hell. Plus also whatshername from Dr Horrible's Sing-Along Blog is there. I assume she's cool, too. Also, the brothers' mom eventually got unfridged! Back-from-the-dead mom is young and hot and MILF, because old women are icky, amirite?) I suspect but cannot confirm that a bunch of these cool women characters eventually got fridged, though. I am pretty sure most of them were only around for a season or so.

For the first several years, the main ship was Wincest, the aforementioned vampire-hunting brothers. Because of the writer's strike, however, an angel was brought into the main cast, and Destiel eventually came to supercede the Wincest ship in popularity. Destiel even became canon for one hot nanosecond near the end of the show. But then Castiel experienced a moment of perfect joy, and like Angel before him, lost his soul went straight to superhell.

Oh, and Castiel has a baby angel at some point? I think his name is Jack? Like Connor before him, Jack spends no time as a baby and is an insta-teenager, presumably to save on production costs.

Other things that happen to Castiel include losing his powers and becoming human. I'm not sure those two are actually related: the depowering was a gradual thing, and the becoming human seems to have been a sudden one that only lasted a few episodes.

Christian mythology plays a big part in the overarching cosmology until the whole thing hooks a hard left turn at the end, and it turns out God is a washed-up novelist. I don't even know what's up with that, this shit goes by on my dash and people assure me it's true.

Eventually the older brother gets impaled on some rebar and goes to Impala Heaven. The younger brother gets a wife who has no name and no face and lives happily ever after in the space of a video montage.

THE END, except for the spin-off about the boys' dad, which we do not watch because the dad is awful.

You play as the Tarnished. potentially you want to become Elden Lord. some guy in a white mask calls you maidenless. i think that same guy does weird surgery or some shit. i remember funky fanarts where he had blood on him. he may be some kinda cult leader. I think his name starts with a V ?

There's Mohg Lord Of Blood and then his brother who's lighter in color scheme and may be the first boss you fight? I forgot his name. Morgoth? Something like that? They are both cursed and they have horns sprouting everywhere and it looks painful as shit. I may have mixed up their names. At least one of the two believes it's a blessing. At some point I knew the name of the Get Horns Everywhere Disease but i forgot

Ranni is there and she's a doll and you can marry her and that's an ending. She has that cool wolf guy who's name starts with a B who works for her. Blaydd??

She's also a witch and she's like, possessing the doll body I forgot what her deal was. Is she the one who gives you the Moonlight Greatsword in this game?

Malenia Blade Of Miquella is also there. She looks so fucking good, has never been defeated, has some blood rot disease or something, and is really hard to beat (or was)

Something something Miquella is linked to the Erdtree (bigass golden tree that is really important) and might or might not still be alive (might be linked to stuff mohg did??) and Malenia protects him, hence the Blade of Miquella

I think one of the endings has you set fire to the Erdtree. im not sure

I was reading some Ali Hazelwood and it got me thinking

So when I started going to SFF conventions I discovered that older fans will enjoy, I mean, enjoy telling you that of course Cordelia and Aral (of Lois McMaster Bujold's Vorkosigan Saga) is a Federation scientist / Klingon ship. Bujold even addresses it in her Goodreads blog for easy linking because of how frequently it comes up:

The Vorkosiverse actually got its proto-start in the very first novelette that I wrote (...) Beta Colony and the Wormhole Nexus generally got its (somewhat off-stage) start in that tale (...) Barrayar did not yet exist. Scratching around for what to write next, in December of 1982, I bethought me of a TOS scenario that I had made up to entertain myself while driving to work at OSU Hospitals at least five years prior. I have never ever ever made the Star Trek connection myself. On the other hand, I go through life being reasonably positive that Martha Wells must have really enjoyed The Untamed, or that Everina Maxwell must be a Vorkosigan Saga fan. And, yea, I would have pattern-matched the vibes in Ali Hazelwood's first couple novels as reylo vibes even without the physical character similarity or the reylo community shoutout in the acknowledgements, and despite that ship never being part of my fandom experience in any meaningful way aside from fandom osmosis (reylo is not my ship in the same way zutara is not my ship.. to me, that kind of connection is not a romantic one.. Leverage OT3 gets away with it by having Parker and Eliot both be there for Hardison).

And I'm just like, how much fandom osmosis would I pick up on in older works if I came up in the fandom back then? That's just really fun and delightful to think about.
