When people complain about one film in the franchise "sidelining" or even "ruining" a certain character when in fact it's the only film in the series in which that character has a full arc, acts independently, has their beliefs challenged, and shows significant growth, and the subsequent film, which walks back on all of that, is somehow near universally considered to be an "improvement".
