This is laughable. And it's embarrassing how many purity goons it drew out of the woodwork.
So, let me get this straight... It's considered common sense that when someone writes about murder, manipulation, gore, or abuse… even if it's "romanticized"… it's not actually a big deal. Because we all know it's fiction. See: Hannibal, which romanticizes all of those things. But I never see people screaming about that.
But then suddenly, for some reason, it's not common sense as soon as anything that's negative of an inherently sexual nature is written about. Suddenly, it's off-limits entirely. Just. What.
Do you sheltered idiots realize how many people still "get off" to the main dynamic in Hannibal, even though there's zero rape, incest, and sexual abuse in general in it? And how many people get off to any number of dark events in movies and novels that aren't inherently sexual?
