Can I just say so far you're the only confession/vent blog I've come across that ACTUALLY stays neutral? I've recently blocked one who claimed to be neutral, but will make exceptions whenever they feel like it.
Thank you. There are of course plenty of takes I disagree with, but they still get posted all the same. I try very hard not to tip my hand in any direction. Sometimes it can be a bit stressful, but I try to keep in mind that I'm just the messenger.
For all the times we keep telling submitters to just block the tags for the things they don't like, here's a quick guide. Notice how you can also filter words within the post in addition to the tags. Use both.
Posting as is, in case anyone finds the information helpful.
it feels like theres a lot more people on this blog seemingly purposefully reading things as hateful and getting mad at that then there used to be.
I agree.
For a while I've been thinking of stopping posting responses altogether and just let people hash things out through the comments and reblogs. I did want to provide an avenue for people who wanted to respond anonymously but I'm not sure it's really worth it anymore.
I thought this blog would be sort of a containment zone for toxicity but I'm worried it's become more of a breeding ground for it. I don't really know what to do here anymore.
We suggest new visitors start here, as well as regular visitors who have questions.
We don't utilize content warnings or trigger tags, expect to see all sorts of subject matter discussed on this blog. Tags are mainly used for broad topic categories, such as #shipping problems or #anime fandom.
As such, content may be NSFT. We don't check ages of blogs, but recommend that users be 18+. Viewer discretion is advised.
Opinions presented here do not necessarily reflect the opinions of the mods.
Please keep discussions civil. Outright bigotry or low-effort trolling will result in being blocked, as well as repeated rude or disruptive behavior.
Submissions are received via the ask box and are all treated as anonymous.
We copy the text of each submission directly into the image without any alterations, so any misspellings or typos are as received. The only thing we may alter is line spacing for the sake of readability or fitting into the image, or any emojis that do not translate over.
Do not include your own Fandom Problem number when submitting your problem. It is not going to be posted right away and makes things confusing when we are trying to search for response asks.
Please be patient, we have a very large backlog (currently 3000 inbox items, with the queue set to post 21 times per day). Our oldest inbox items currently are from January 2026.
Do not re-submit your problem because it hasn't been posted for a while. We understand that it's easy to forget and mistakes happen. However, if it gets to the point of becoming spam it may result in being blocked.
Our focus is on queuing the oldest inbox items, but occasionally will mix in submissions from the middle of the inbox for variety.
If you change your mind about a submission and would like to have it deleted, we can do so, but you need to provide as much information as you can remember in order to be sure we're deleting the correct one. Things like the topic, time frame in which it was sent, or any specific phrases used that were used may help us narrow down our search. Assume that your request has been seen and handled even if your ask wasn't answered publicly. A submission will not be deleted once it has been posted publicly to the blog, however.
Not directed at any specific submissions or responses, but it does feel like the the overall tone of things has gotten a lot more aggressive as time goes on.
It's probably just me, but as a woman, I find the constant insistence that "women are amazing" and "women can do no wrong" to be…creepy. It's like they're overcompensating for something. Like when a male feminist insists that all women are goddesses, only to be charged with sexual assault. Or how antis who scream about child porn are then later charged with having CP on their phone/computer. It just makes me so uncomfortable whenever I see those posts, especially when it's in regard to someone actively terrible and abusive. I mean, there's encouragement, and then there is the insistent need to be seen as super supportive. I only find few of said posts inspiring. Others leave a bad taste in my mouth due to how obsessed they are at being seen as virtuous. You get the distinct feeling that they don't actually care about women. They just want to be seen as caring about women.
