i'm sorry i have to brag because i've spent like three weeks on this thing.
first up, my layout!! there are five separate islands, plus the Tomoria restaurant to the side. three of them are neighborhoods, the largest has the fountain and the shops, and the other is for my lighthouse mii. the neighborhoods are made based on the source material: Warrior Cats + Pete the Cat, real life people, FNAF + Creepypasta + Project Hail Mary. some of them are a little mixed due to miis moving in together.
the fenced off island is for Caz, my lighthouse mii/mental self. he has a lounge chair, fireworks, picnic table, bonfire, sprinkler, and outdoor shower. he has no relationships. he knows me and me only.
i have two parks, one with custom-made swings and play set, and one heart shaped with garlands and dining sets.
next, some of my favorite creations! my Project Hail Mary fox sweater for my Grace mii, Hozier album, Winter of '83 (analog horror), AUTOMATIC by the Lumineers, and a little pixel Rocky for Grace.
the next two images are two miis i'm very proud of. Ryland Grace, from Project Hail Mary (my current hyperfixation), and Hyunjin, the child Rumi and Zoey had.

all miis have working/blinking eyes, not face-painted. the miis with face-paint are

my Danny Fenton/Phantom designs are based off an alternate universe where the portal accident caused permanent scarring, nerve damage, and blind/lazy eye. all Warrior cats are based off various humanized designs i found online. the Afton siblings are based off an alternate universe where William Afton was spring-trapped much earlier, and they were raised by a combo of Michael himself and Henry.
also, Squirrelflight and Leafpool has matching necklaces because they're sisters!!!
as for my palette house creations, AUTOMATIC was created with a bunch of rectangles and tears. Winter of '83 was directly referenced from the title card. the fox sweater, Hozier album, and Rocky were made with Living the Grid and a mountain of patience.
the swings from the playground are flat boards placed against each other, the play set is one pyramid roofed house against a box. the garland in the heart park are flat boards.
paths for the island are mixed cobblestone and concrete and the main body is mixed grass and clovers.
i'm using a mac with ryujinx, so everything was drawn using a trackpad (which is exhausting).

bonus fact: while about 7/8s of the way through this post, i accidentally swiped back while trying to switch the window with Tomodachi Life, and almost cried real tears because i thought i lost the progress on the post. i didn't, thank god, but it was definitely a 'heart-to-the-bottom-of-my-feet' moment.
