...why do people insist that if dave's not being manipulative then he's being 150000% gay? like hello dont you know there's a thing called friendship? there's a thing called progress of befriending someone?

he's trying to manipulate him at the beginning alright, but then the story progresses and rush slowly becomes a friend. a close friend even whom he even shared his secrets with. notice the bedroom scene -- notice how dave no longer pulls away when rush's nearing him, in fact this time it's him who actually ignores rush's personal space.

...to be honest by 2/4 of the game it's starting to look like rush's the one manipulating dave to get what he wants and guess what dave actually follows him.

and then by the moment before sacred land you'll know rush is definitely one of, if not the most, important person in his life. (the dialogue? the whole attitude? the 'leave if you don't agree' ultimatum to his four generals?) and you know what? that's fucking tragic. because it's better if they really did canonically hook up -- it's even better if they both are in a purely platonic friendship. BECAUSE THEN THE ENDING WOULDN'T FUCKING HURT SO MUCH. because then dave wouldn't have to fucking cry because then those two woudln't have to say stupid words and would've said proper goodbyes because then dave wouldn't have to actually fucking wail rush's name as if it pains him so fucking much he can't hold it he basically went fuck everyone and actually wail his name beCAUSE THEN THE ENDING WOULDN'T BE "HE'S WAITING FOR ME" BUT ACTUALLY "THEY" BC THERES AN IMPLICATION THAT DAVID ISN'T LETTING GO.

WOWOWOWOWO I decided to finally scroll through TLR tag again after weeks andd wow. Just. Just WOW.

Getting reminded again how my most favorite game got some of the dumbest rants ever. Even though this one's pretty much harmless compare to the WHY DOES THIS STUPID PC GAME HAS NO MOUSE CONFIG .. which is there in the Settings in the MAIN MENU if you actually bother to LOOK FIRST, you dumbass.

I figured since I am ranting about TLR tag, why not address everything that's been bugging me ever since?

One. For the love of god do not THINK. DO. NOT THINK. I don't know if you use my stuffs without permission. This gonna sound rather snobbish but as the only one who's constantly supplying quality graphics and gifs in the tag, OF COURSE I'd know which one's mine. Think I don't scroll through the characters tag? Think I don't randomly see whoever blogs who reblog stuffs from me? I'D KNOW EVEN IF you don't post it on the main tag.

Two. This is personal preference, and heavily biased, but it's annoying to see people who BARELY plays the game comments about Rush being a sissy or simply a poor character god fucking dammit finish the game then you can talk. Bias aside, I don't think he's anywhere near that. He could be annoying to some people, but as someone who used to hate Tidus during the first few hours of the game, Rush's pretty much harmless.

Three. This one.. this one I honestly don't get and I think it's pointed indirectly to me since I was posting some pencil David doodle around that time. Ha, fucking, ha though me whitewashing David. Just because I didn't give some shade on him it's suddenly called whitewashing, well guess what. David's skin tone's nowhere that dark. And honestly? It's rather light brown, just the same as mine, the same as us SE Asians, and excuse me for ~not coloring his skin~ because that's basically how I've been drawing myself, how I've been drawing locals my whole life. You calling me whitewashing my own people, now? You calling me whitewashing myself? Whoa whoa whoa.

And yes this is a sensitive issue because there's the same amount of stupidity going around on Firion tag with people claiming everyone -- including the very company that made him -- whitewashing when in actuality it's not.

Last, and this is the thing that ticks me to no end. There's a different between THE GAME having hard difficulty / mechanism and YOU not understanding HOW THE GAME WORKS. Ranting on the tag about how the game is bad / stupid / shit when it's actually you who can't figure the system out makes you look D U M B. I swear I'm one of the cheapest gamers ever and god forbids I say TLR is actually quite an easy game, can't find a single boss that's ~impossibly~ too hard. The boss got too many turns? That's why you need TACTICS. Leveling is useless? It WILL BE USELESS if you're doing it WRONG. You need better ally? THEN PICK THEM CAREFULLY. GOD.

Shit I'm just. Not something I'd expect to feel or write when visiting tumblr. UGH.
