FUN TIMES ILY ANON
went a little overboard lmao, and like one of these is suggestive so be warned
gently in the cold, dark earth
“Divinity seeps from your every pore." whispers his god. Apollo ducks his head, warm air blowing on his collarbone with each word he utters. “When I put my lips to your skin,” and the god does, “I can taste its sweetness. Sweeter than any nectar the gods could hope to invent.”
i'll show you my teeth
"You don't know what I'd do for him." Luke's voice is low, yet more dangerous than any army the dead could hope to form. His skin, red from the sharp blessing of the Styx, almost glows with his rage. "I've deceived, misled and betrayed my Titan Lord, all for the sake of that kid you've grabbed by the neck. Let him go if you want to live, Lord Hades."
where men become gods
"Your daughter would've been sixteen this year, would she have not?" Poseidon's voice is cool as ice - a well placed barb at his brother's defences. "Shame that Bianca Di Angelo was lost to you. Just as you intend to have Sally lost to me."
Hades stares, nothing but shock on his face, that fades away to a desperate grief. "What do you know about Bianca? And Nico? Brother, if you-"
i’ll pay for my place (in your heart)
"I never said I killed Meg." His voice, soft in a way it shouldn't be.
Percy hates the hope swirling in his ribcage, just as he hates the man before him.
(He doesn't.)
There is a stinging ache in the back of his throat, sharper than the blooming imprint of Apollo's hand at the base of his neck.
ten things I hate about you!
Prince of Prissiness, King of Suits, the Chesapeake fucking Ripper, Hannibal Lecter, is wearing jeans. Goddamn jeans.
Will adjusts his trousers, trying to a, avoid Beverly's knowing look and b, remind his dick that this is a cannibalistic serial killer.
His pants become tighter. Traitorous body, he mourns, abruptly sitting down.
Hannibal smirks. Fucker.
till reachin' out for sunlight (just to be ripped out by the stem)
The true fall wasn't the darkening of feathers, or the strokes of rotted ichor painting Heaven’s infinite expanse. It hadn't been the hurling descent into burning sulphur.
It had been Her wrenching away Her love from them as if it were a physical thing, the equivalent of a heart in all the ways that mattered. It had been Her ripping out their Name and their Purpose, all at once, kicking them from more than everything to less than nothing in Her eyes.
to hold me like water
Aziraphale feels a vague, bewildering sensation of nausea at the thought.
He shoves it down. There is no reason for it, and he is certainly one you can count on for reasonability.
He did reason himself out of the decision that would have made him the happiest of all, had he not?
He loved him, but he knew he didn't love him back. Why couldn't he just move on? Why did he have to keep loving someone who clearly didn't reciprocate?
And yet..
The smiles he gave him, the heartwarming moments when he was relieved he wasn't dead, when he rested his head on his shoulder, fell asleep on his lap.. he cherished them. He cherished him. The inside jokes only the two of them could share with each other. The private moments. They knew more about each other than anyone else.
Maybe it wasn't meant for them to be together.
But he loved Bob all the same.
--
Bob wasn't sure how to feel sometimes.
Bosip was comfortable. He knew him, he trusted him; they sat together in front of the fire while snow fluttered down from the sky above, wrapped in a blanket; sometimes he even fell asleep on him during the day when his insomnia got the better of him.
Hell, he knew some of his deepest secrets; ones he'd sworn to never show the light of day. They did everything together.
But they were best friends, and nothing more.
...right?
He pushed down the heat in his cheeks around him, a lot. It wasn't right. He couldn't- he couldn't love another guy, could he? Not that he had anything against gay people, but he was straight. He'd always been straight.
Sometimes, he wished he wasn't. But that wasn't right to wish for.
...
..he didn't deserve Bosip.
He smiled at his best friend. "You ready?"
"Always," the other responded.
They headed into another adventure, hand in unlovable hand.
The doors opened, the sun filtering in as the ghostly figure stepped out. He smiled, laughing giddily as he ran through the grass and the trees, running as he pleased. Then, he spotted Tommy, and tackled him with a hug. Clear, happy tears streamed down his cheeks, warmth enveloping the teen, coming from the core of the ghost. "Tommy!"
The teen stood there with wide eyes. "Ghost..bur?"
"Tommy, it's me! I got out of the station!" he explained happily. "It took a really really long time, but I'm here! I'm back!"
Tommy laughed, disbelief and utter relief in his voice as he hugged the ghost back, soft tears gathering at the edges of his eyes. "..I missed you."
"Oh, I missed you too, Tommy!"
Wilbur stood off to the side. He knew who that was, the freak that had taken his place. He didn't know how he was here, but... He sighed. If Tommy really missed him that much...
Peter hummed, kicking the snow as he walked along. "Spider-man, spider-man, does whatever a spider can," he mumbled along with the tune, bumping into someone. "Oh- sorry!"
He looked up to find someone glaring at him. Ah. Well crap. "What are you doing here, Tommy?" the pink-haired man growled. Peter shrunk back.
"Ah, uh, um, wandering..?" he managed out. He probably looked pathetic. Mmh.
"You're not allowed in these parts, Theseus." Dang, how many places was Tommy banned from? Wait, Theseus?
Peter nodded, stepping back. "I'll, uh, leave right now, sir." He wasn't about to question the nickname and get caught. And this guy was menacing. Maybe he could've taken him as Spidey, but now? No way.
The man narrowed his eyes. "..good," he eventually said, Peter turning tail and bolting out of there. Not today!
Techno watched Tommy run away. Something was up, but he didn't know what. Tommy never called him 'sir'. Tommy knew better than to come around these parts. He never apologized.
He sighed, turning back around. "I'll have to see what Phil thinks," he muttered to himself.
