What's your dream plot for a story you wish existed?

oh my gosh, I was just telling @imbecamiel, I'm sure it exists somewhere, but I want a very well-written set of vignettes from Harvey's POV of Bruce visiting him in Arkham—and then the stretch of time where he's sure Bruce has finally given up on him because he doesn't come at all, but then Harvey finds out that Jason died and that's why.

I have many, many things I want, but that's the first one that came to mind.

16. Fix it fics or AU fics?

I’d say fix it fics because my favorite series or favorite characters always end the worst ending. I’ve lost so many blorbos rip to my babies.

But I do love AU fics with all my heart. Especially love to imagine what my favs are like in a modern domestic setting. ❤️

📚 What’s the longest fic you’ve read in one sitting?

Hmm, I actually have no idea... I know I read the destiel fic just take the bones, begin anew within one day (not strictly one sitting) because I made a note in my bookmark about it (as I've always been curious about how long it takes me to read fic but I've never bothered to actually measure it). That fic is 100k and in my note I said I read it in about 8ish hours on and off. But something I've actually read in one sitting, with no breaks at all? I really have no clue 😅

🌍 What is your dream AU?

Pacific Rim is literally always my dream AU. I love it for any of the fandoms I am in. Even if there’s already an AU of it for my ship, I’d take many, many more. I don’t know, there’s just something about it. Drift compatibility is the best concept ever invented. 

✋ What reader or writer do you think most deserves a high five?

I think all the writers and, especially, the readers (still makes my day whenever I get kudos or a comment on my fic 🥰) deserve high fives! High fives for everyone! I love the fanfic community. But for today I'm going to say @hmslusitania because of this incredible steddie fic of hers that I read recently (and because of all of her amazing buddie fic)!

🤷 What thing that your fandom loves do you just not “get”?

I'm going to be very...careful about how I answer this, because I don't want to make anyone angry, but I don't really get the Prongsfoot ship? James/Sirius just blows my mind. And I guess that's not strictly true. I get it. That bond is there. They're so close to one another, so in-sync with everything they do. It's an easy shift to make. I just can't see it for myself. To me, they're like platonic soulmates. They're brothers. They love one another and they'd do anything for each other. And that's a wonderful thing. And I'm not throwing shade on anyone in the slightest for reading/writing it. I just can't get into it because that's not how I see them.

💡 Tell me a headcanon (and who you wish would write it)?

Oh god. That's a terrible question. Why would you do this to me?? The possibilities are endless. Umm...

Okay, so I have this head canon about Remus during his 'lost years', after the first war ended and before POA. Greyback tried to pull Remus into his fold, tie him in with the other werewolves, show him that life could be better than linking himself to the wizarding world and all the bigotry within it. And Remus, with nothing else to lose, everything already gone, in a haze of despair and that crushing hopelessness of one job after the other, another moon where he tore himself to pieces followed by another, went. And at first, things were fine. The way they lived and cared for one another wasn't so bad, wasn't what he'd expected. Things were better for him. Until they weren't. Greyback, over time, began to let his true colors shine through, and Remus saw the horrors him and his pack were capable of, the things they'd hidden away trying to get him settled and comfortable with them, which leads to him eventually leaving and returning to his previous life, sad and alone and struggling. But at least there he can pretend not to be the monster they'd been trying to make him out to be.

As far as who should write it, I've no earthly idea. So many people would be good. You wanna take a crack at it? I'll pay you in hearts. 💜💜💜😁😁

🤢 Who is your NoTP?

Sirius/Snape. I'm sorry, argue all you want (and i can guess one person who will try if they see this 😂), but I cannot. It makes me physically cringe. And I get it. That whole enemies to lovers trope is super fun to explore with all that hostility. But noooo. Sirius would not. Snape would not. At least not in my head.

4. Reading Time: I don't really have a specific reading time set... I read almost any time as long as I feel like it, even sometimes in between work 😅

If I'm engrossed with a specific story though, I have that bad tendency to keep reading even if I know I'd sacrifice some of my time for sleep lol

7. Favorite genre: I'm mostly into romance/fluff fics, but I'd also check out other types of stories as long as the plot catches my interest.

8. Genres to avoid: I might be a bit wary about horror fics and sometimes stories that may have heavy angst (but I'm ok with angsty fics if I know the ending makes up for it... If it's going to be a sad ending, I might not consider to try reading it. Bittersweet is fine though). But sometimes, I'd give these types of stories a shot as long as I more or less get an idea if the general flow is good and I can somewhat handle the story (I just have to prepare my heart hehe).

10. Finding new fics: I usually just rely on Google, but fic recs reblogged here in Tumblr (a lot of them from the lists compiled by @dayseternal-blog - thank you so much for your recs Days! 😁) also help me find any new stories that I may be interested in.

19. Ever stopped reading a fic: Yes. Unfortunately there are a lot of fics that I stopped reading because I'm no longer interested with the fandom they were written for. There are times too that when I read a certain fic and I find the beginning okay, but somewhere in the middle I find it too cringey, confusing, or dragging, I'd stop or basically just scan through the rest of the fic just to get it over with (especially if I had already invested so much time in reading the story).

16: fix-it fics or au fics?

AU fics!! I actually love both, but I really love how creative people can get with AU stories, and I especially love it when people really embrace heaps of characters and put effort into translating a lot of them over into the AU setting? Like, I find it so fun when more minor characters pop up in unexpected ways, and it's something I really enjoy doing when I write AUs, like with Nancy, Diane and Amber having the salon crime ring in Pour a Little Salt.

17: canon-compliant or canon, what canon?

Ooooo, maybe surprisingly after the last answer, but I'm going to say canon compliant? Again, it comes down to the ways it can really showcase people's creativity! Like I love what you did with I Will Collect You and Capture You because I think it really embraced where the show and the characters were at that point in time to build something so rich and compelling.

I read @dragonturtle's I See the Rainbow and the Darkness at the Same Time tonight too, and she does such a good job of using these tentpole moments of canon to explore Beth's character and relationship to Rio through his name, which is such a creative and interesting way to frame a lovely, evocative fic.

So yeah! I think canon-compliant often challenges people to be more creative, and I find that really exciting. :-)
