avery champney. 18. temporary mystic falls resident. this town means nothing to me. anyway, i rolled up a few newspaper articles and magazines for you to look through. doubt any paper copies of anything will still be sold whenever this gets opened, so that’s something. but that isn’t why i chose to add this in there. i’m avery champney and i am a nonbinary person of color, and in these magazines and newspapers you will find sexism, trans and homophobia. you will find women pitting another woman against another woman, who wore it better? because we don’t empower each other, we tear each other down here in september 2009. you will find stories of death and dying and killing and murder, of children and women and nerds and activists and people of color. you will find white washing, white privilege, sexual objectification and ableism of the mentally ill, of the mentally and physically disabled. you will find the smell and feel of paper that contributed to depriving our earth of oxygen to sell us lies and toxic mindsets. this is where we’re at right now. do better.
with spite, avery champney.
