*taps mic, finds it's still on*
I've been revisiting fangirly crushes recently, reading the fics I wrote, and listening to old playlists, which has been a whole lot of fun, have to say.
I realised that I never managed to find out more about that play Comedians which Martin and David Tennant (two of my most epic recent crushes) were in, and still can't find any info for, even now *shrugs*
How it is that these two hugely famous actors could be in a play together and yet there seemingly be no apparent trace of it, an article, a photo, nada--it completely puzzles me. Just a mention in this last paragraph for another actor's obituary.
I'd almost want to try searching archives for it when next in London.
Speaking of London and plays...awwww, what I would do to be able to check out The Fifth Step 🥹 I'd just started Slow Horses a few months ago and thought it was a bit like The Office for spies at times. Jack Lowden's character River gives me Tim vibes crossed with a hot!Simon Pegg aesthetic, which tripped me out and had me low-key crushing at the same time 😂 So hearing the news that both him and Martin were going to be in a play together:
**Edit to update** - fair enough, I was exaggerating a tad when I said I couldn't find any articles or pics relating to Comedians (2001). I've since been helpfully directed to a couple of links, and having searched a bit more, found a few more articles, mostly reviews of the play. There's also a couple of photos. But it feels soooo sparse compared to their other theatre stuff. Maybe cos the play was only on for just over a week between two theatres 🤷🏻♀️
