there is a long and drawn out kind of pause where armand's eyes remain fixed on the soft blanket in his hands. it moves between his fingers before his gaze lifts upwards and smile begins to spread.

This ain't no attempt to control her, or whatever the hell she or anyone might think. Mostly, he just didn't understand how a vampire COULD get drunk!

❛    —    &    the majority of it is probably true,    ❜    he scoffs,    shoulders hitching to a shrug.    he's long - since come to terms with the fact that the hale name generates a lot of gossip,    that folks will hear it    &    start foaming at the mouth like rabid dogs.    of course,    it is extremely rare that's there's any truth to the stories circulating the rumour mill,    but noah derives his amusement from claiming it's all true,    regardless of how outlandish,    gruesome,    or,    just plain contradictory half of the stories are.    neither of his older siblings care to correct anyone,    so why should he?    people are just going to believe what they want to believe anyway.    (    he was the human sibling for three full decades    &    that knowledge did nothing to deter the trigger - happy from hunting him for sport like they did everyone else in his family.    )
