Now, anyone who was a little less unhinged, and perhaps a bit more concerned for the well-being of hunters, would likely have shown some sort of reaction upon learning it was just a college boy. Venera, however...

"That is a pity. It is always a shame when a life is cut short. Though, if one desires to dance with monsters, one should not be surprised when the monsters show their claws... or their fangs," she said simply.

Morality wasn't exactly the point here, especially considering the vampire was now going through the young man's personal belongings, likely not out of curiosity alone.

"But, for what it's worth, I don't enjoy killing people. It's simply a matter of kill or be killed. And I don't have to tell you that, in situations like these, there is a certain evil that must be done." Her gaze lingered on the body for a moment before returning to Jessie.

"Yes, you interest me. Us girls have to look out for each other, especially in a world that simply wasn't designed for us," she hummed.

"My name is Venera. Obviously, I'm a witch." A faint smile tugged at her lips. "A pleasure to meet you."

Luis shrugged, feigning a casual attitude to cover up his fear that he’d inadvertently set foot in something he knew nothing about. That something had the potential to cause him a lot of pain, torture or a gruesome death. His knowledge of witches was almost non existent, but he convinced himself that if she wanted him dead, she would have done it by now. Maybe he could be of some use to her.

“I don’t really get what’s so special about this guy anyway. I get it, you have your weird rules or whatever, but what makes him your perfect vessel for … whatever you’re doing?”

Luis glanced down at the unconscious body and watched the way she touched his lips and spoke so gently and calmly to him. It was almost … alluring.

But it was short lived, and he internally flinched when her piercing gaze met his once again. How quickly the air shifted, how spiky it suddenly felt. And then came the earth shattering revelation that she was a coven leader, underlining that he was indeed in deep trouble here.

Venera. A striking name, beautiful and yet seemingly laced in venom. And despite that, the way she talked about which blood being so forbidden only made him want it more. His mouth watered, he swallowed quickly.

“Why not? Who decided that rule? They clearly didn’t want you to have fun. But now you just make it sounds like a challenge. What would you do if I bit you? Kill me? Or are you afraid you’d enjoy it?”

She was right about that, at least. He didn’t care for rules and wasn’t about to start now.

“What I desire? I’m just … trying to exist.” He said, though was clearly growing more distracted by her implications, given how easily he’d let her back him into a corner. “I had a feeling you’d be into torture. Look, I just want to enjoy myself. I never asked for this life, so I’m making the most of it. I don’t belong to a group or answer to anyone but myself. But since you’re asking …” his smirk sharpened, “I wouldn’t say no to seeing you chained up. A beautiful blank canvas for me to sink my teeth into … I bet you taste divine.”

“Wouldn’t you love to know...” she hummed playfully.

“Why? Do you desire to take his place after all? Though, the goddess is rather selective... fear not, though. If you desire to be used for something, I could always think of something to satisfy that desire.” She said it teasingly, though as flirtatious as it was, it was equally a threat. Regardless, she knew better than to start a fight with a vampire. There was no point in doing so.

“Well, let’s hope next time you will be a bit more mindful of who you are biting... I mean, it would be pretty bad had I been a witch who utterly hates vampires. But lucky for you, I don’t care enough to start something here. Besides, just like witches, vampires at times tend to come in covens as well... though I don’t see anyone here ready to jump me on your behalf.” She paused briefly.

“But regardless, I do think it is amusing knowing that you are out here likely by yourself. Would your sire get mad if he or she knew you were here with me? Knowing you were eyeing me up and down... because I couldn’t help but notice...” She stepped closer again, this time close enough to brush her fingers against his chest before moving them to his throat. Then, without warning, she slightly tightened her grip around it.

“You talk a big game... are you certain you should risk it? I might not be as strong as you in terms of speed and strength, but I do possess quite a bit of magical power. I could make you bleed from your eyes and nose without so much as lifting a finger.” She tilted her head slightly. “Now... of course, I would prefer not to. I do not like violence. But if you insist on being this cocky...”
