Fanguerilla

A side note away from the grossness that was the most recent KPP, but I really hate the fanguerilla character. Simon and Martina are making fun of really young impressionable girls doing something completely innocent. Boy idol bands give young girls a safe place to experiment with their emerging sexuality without the pressure to do anything physical that would be there if there was a real boy in the picture. All the while, a vast majority of the songs these guys are singing are about making a girl happy and treating her well, or being sad that they didn’t treat her well. That is not a bad message for girls to be hearing. If it were just making fun of sassaeg fans that would be different, but the majority of fangirls are super harmless and do care about their idols apart from their just their looks as they become an emotional pillar as well. Them not being understanding of other groups that aren’t the happy married couple they are is incredibly insensitive.
