I spent most of September leading a trek around the Fann Mountains in Tajikistan. I was last in the country in 1992, and was very excited to return and visit the Fann Mountains for the first time. Incredible place! You will find a gallery of images from the trip on my web site here;

After a month in the Pamirs, Osh to Dushanbe, I decided to take a week off the bike and go for a short walk in the Fann Mountains. This is the trailhead at Artuch, where I started the walk, from here I crossed the Alaudin Pass, which involved 1,000m ascent and descent in the same day.
