If canon Steve were to talk to fanon Steve he'd be like:

The only thing different we do about Billy is actually give him support and a safe home. I'd even argue that fanon Billy is the Billy we only see glimpses of in canon... when he's not on edge.

Which gets this fandom all hot and unbothered for some reason 🤷‍♂️

Why is it that in every other piece of fan fic, Steve Rogers doesn't drink and when the other Avengers ask him he's like *shrug* "I can't get drunk."

First off, Steve totally drinks in The First Avenger.

Second off--look I fully admit I don't drink at all so I don't know if this is a normal rational or not--but most of my friends who drink don't drink to "get drunk." They drink because they like how it tastes and they'll have one maybe two beers at an event. 

In fact, if the taste of beer, wine, or harder alcohols is something Cap enjoys, wouldn't he drink more now? He literally can't get drunk. He can go to all the wine tastings he wants and not have to do that weird spit it out after each drink thing that people sometimes do.

I'm not saying Cap would be boozing it up like Tony does--mainly because since Tony can get drunk, I would think Cap would be trying to discourage Tony's excessive drinking habit--but I am saying it seems strange to say because Cap can't get drunk he must never drink alcohol.
