how would you feel if someone else wanted to see your colors too? i bet your colors are just as lovely, maybe even a bit different then the rest of us.

I would feel very flattered.. But also disturbed. I don't know what they want with my innards. I know what I want, but not them. I don't know if I could trust that they would do right by me when/if I can't anymore.

But... Let's say they had done right by me. I think I would let them.. Just as long as they give me space and air when I need it. That could be a beautiful moment.. To feel safe enough to give myself to someone. Let them dabble in my shell..

Not to glorify hustle culture or anything, but I am very happy with how busy I am. Between work, grad school, new boyfriend, social life, dentist appointments, apartment hunting, I have had fully booked days for months now. And I’m tired but not overwhelmed. I got this. I spent the last five years doing pretty much NOTHING. Most of my time in college was spent killing time. I spent six months after graduation with no job and no friends. Then a year in quarantine also doing nothing. Not resting-- sitting there bored, restless, depressed. Nothing to do and no one to talk to for days and days. So the fact that I have a full calendar and I’m constantly running around-- I’m thankful. honestly.
