Kick Butt and Pet Cats

A commission for a friend of mine who wanted me to draw her as a fantasy archer with a lynx companion. She loves cats, so the title seemed appropriate!

I am resurrecting my Tumblr account. :p I don’t know if many people are still using the platform?  

After taking a break for a year (drawing for myself and sell at cons), I’m back and ready to start again! Already 3 cons are confirmed: Rubikcon (Drummondville), Ottawa Geek Market and Nadeshicon (Quebec city). 

One of my goal this year: try new coloring techniques and add more dynamism to my compositions. I am bringing back this archer for one of the new illustrations. :)

Another bab! This time it’s Benjin, an archer not really an archer!  Explaining:  Benji here traded his actual eyes for avian eyes, using magic. Magical body modifications are illegal in his world, or at least coutry/territory, so he hides it with a mask. The mask itself is magical, so it covers his eyes completely, but he can still see. The painted eyes of it also move around like they’re real. It limits his sight back to human sight, tho.  Why I said he is kind of an archer is a matter os possibility vs capability. Because he has literal “hawkeyes” (don’t judge me) he could be a great archer, but he really sucks at it aside from easy shots or long shots. He can’t fire really fast, either, so he needs time and a lot of strateging to manage shots, and that’s where the avian eyes come in: he has a lot of them in a pair, meaning his sigh is good with distance, the dark, and so on. I just wanted to make a shitty archer that bases his combat on waiting and thinking.  Also, he is kind of a jerk at first, and he is Orin’s partner!  He carries one of his original eyes around his neck because ~reasons~ (I can’t spoil, he is for a rp and Luh, who writes with me, might read it) Also,  I had a lot of fun explaining the clothing layers I hope you like him too!
