i've been using versions/adaptations of this design as a shorthand for "bhaalist blade" for a while so i figured i'd draw it while i was in the mood (along with some examples of how i've used it in the past)

-the Bhaalist Ceremonial Dagger is a +1 dagger that does nothing except add 1 to your initiative rolls. wielded by the rank-and-file of bhaal's cultists, while the craftsmanship in this worn dagger with its linen-wrapped grip is relatively mundane, it was clearly made with a singular purpose in mind: to murder.

I wanted to make a more elaborate design for this but decided to make it practical enough to have been used. This is the silver dagger Azrael mentioned in a recent chapter of “Nevermore” that was used on Owen in his past life to seal his memories. It’s actually pretty large too so it could be easily mistaken for a short sword by the unpracticed eye. And the dagger’s name is Temperance (like the tarot card) and “The meaning of TEMPERANCE is moderation in action, thought, or feeling : restraint.” ~ https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/temperance
