Ezra/Elaria: They tilt their head. “I don’t quite know how to respond to that.” An almost amused smile ghosts across their lips. “Weren’t you mad at me a second ago? Is this some sort of trap?”

Caleb/Catherine: A flush takes over their cheeks, but the happy smile quirking their lips showcases how your words touched them. “Th-Thank you.”

Jaden/Jade: Sapphire blue eyes narrow playfully. “You’re quite a sight to look at yourself, sweetheart.”

Aidan/Aylin: They scoff, folding their arms over their chest. “If you think that’s going to distract me from the fact that I’m right, you have another thing coming.”

Faolan/Faolyn: A bright grin takes over their face at the words. Crimson eyes lightening exponentially as you gave them a reason to end the fight. “You’re quite cute yourself, moon.”

Laurence/Lauren: A light chuckle falls from their lips; emerald eyes glinting with warmth. “I know what you’re doing, darling, but I can’t say that I mind.”

Irithiel: She shakes her head in fond exasperation. “Only you, my love, only you.” Adoration fills her violet eyes; causing them to shimmer like precious gems. “You’re quite lovely too.”

Kyllian: He shakes his head, an unimpressed look etched across his face. “You won’t distract me, Anon. Not like you always do.”

How would the RO’s react if the MC snuggled up to them and whispered “You make me fee safe.” Into their ear?

Ezra/Elaria: Wrapping a loose arm around your waist, they angle their head to press a light kiss to your forehead. “You make me feel safe too. You make being the Heir of Gallinia that much easier to handle.”

Caleb/Catherine: They jump slightly in reply at the feeling of you suddenly appearing, but they quickly settle as your words register in their mind. A look of pure adoration soon etching itself across their face. “That’s something we can both be to one another then.”

Jaden/Jade: The flirtatious smirk, and witty retort, that had been on their lips fades away at the soft revelation. Sapphire blue eyes softening in such a way that would only ever be for you or Vessarel. With one arm, they tug you closer to their body so they can nuzzle closer. “What would I do without you?”

Aidan/Aylin: Blue green eyes observe you with thinly veiled warmth; the ghost of a smile curling their lips as they caress your cheek with their fingertips. “Is it because I always have my sword on me?” Humor suffuses the question, but before you can reply they place a gentle kiss to the tip of your nose. “You make me feel safe too, love. You make me feel wanted.”

Faolan/Faolyn: The moment you were within their embrace their arms tighten around you; as if they were daring anyone to try and take you from them. Crimson eyes flashing with their protective need to shield you— only softening due to their love. “I’ll forever protect you, my moon.” They nuzzle closer to you. “This I swear.”

Laurence/Lauren: A bashful smile curls their lips at the revelation; green eyes glinting with warmth while they tug you closer. “I’ve never felt better than when you’re by my side.” They press a light kiss to your cheek. “I’m glad that you feel the same way.”

Irithiel: “You make it easier to remember, my dearest one.” She gently cups your face, angling your head to be able to look at her. Violet eyes shimmering with the depth of her emotions; with the depth of her love for you. “You make the nightmares go away, I’m so glad I make you feel safe too. That’s how I always want you to be.”

Kyllian: Argent eyes reveal nothing as he presses a light kiss to your lips. He didn’t feel the need to say anything— his love for you, as his innate protectiveness, didn’t need to be spoken to show the depth of it. He’d forever keep you safe; no matter what.

How would the RO’s react to getting a shovel talk by the Mc’s siblings?

Ezra/Elaria: Would find it somewhat amusing, but would take their words to heart. They’d never wish to hurt you.

Caleb/Catherine: They’d probably faint. They’re a fairly nervous person— when it comes to certain things— and this would not help things in the slightest.

Jaden/Jade: Would sit silently and listen. They’re well aware of their past and don’t wish to miss anything that your siblings wish to tell them. They’d never want to hurt you.

Aidan/Aylin: Would probably have some snarky retorts, but they’d be happy that you have siblings that would look out for you like that.

Faolan/Faolyn: Wouldn’t expect anything less. His own siblings will probably, if they hadn’t already, do the same thing to the MC. They’d simply listen to everything without much rebuttal.

Laurence/Lauren: They’d simply keep a tiny smile on their lips and nod their head. On the inside they’d be a little worried that your siblings possibly don’t like them, but they’d never let it show on the outside.

Irithiel: You mean if they felt brave enough to do it? Irithiel would find it silently amusing and touching. She’d be happy that you had family that would stick up for you.

Kyllian: Would simply raise his brow at them and not react all that much. He didn’t really need the warning, but he’s not going to be rude and completely ignore your siblings.

💗 GROWING HEART - if they have a crush, is it noticable? what changes when they're in love?

Ezra/Elaria: Somewhat. They open up a lot more whenever they start developing feelings for someone. When they’re in love? They soften completely and don’t hesitate in smiling whenever they see the person that’s captured their heart.

Caleb/Catherine: Definitely. They become even more of a flustered mess than you would think was possible. Just nervous all around. When they’re in love? They’d still be shy, but they’d give you a special smile that would only ever be for you.

Jaden/Jade: 1000%. They’re usually quite suave in the grand scheme of things— a horrible flirt in other words— but the moment they start developing actual feelings? All bets are off. They become an absolute mess. When they’re in love? They get some of their suaveness back, but it’s tinged by a softness that would only ever be targeted at you.

Aidan/Aylin: Sort of. They’d be less snarky at you in general, but it wouldn’t be the most obvious thing in the world. When they’re in love? They’re protective towards you and would never want to be anywhere but by your side. Forever loyal to you until the very end.

Faolan/Faolyn: Absolutely. Mainly because they wouldn’t hide the fact that they have a crush on you. They’re a very in the moment kind of person and don’t won’t to waste any time on what ifs. When they’re in love? They’d act the same way they do towards you now… just with all the loving glances, kisses, and them holding you close added into the mix.

Laurence/Lauren: Not really. They’d still treat you with kindness though it would be tinged with a timidness you might not be used to. As they’d be trying to work out their feelings for you while interacting with you. When they’re in love? They’d complete light up every time you’d enter the room. A smile that could rival the sun gracing their face.

Irithiel: Not even in the slightest bit. You wouldn’t be able to notice anything at all. Irithiel would keep a lid over her feelings until she figured them out for herself— Iddraras would be helpful in that. When she’s in love? She becomes softer in general, giving you gentle smiles that no one else has received (besides Iddraras and her daughter). She’d be tender and warm. Nothing would stop her from showing you how much she loves you.

Kyllian: A little bit, if you’re perceptive. He tends to keep to himself, but when he starts developing feelings he’ll start to seek you out more and more. First he wouldn’t be aware he was doing it and then it would evolve into him knowingly finding you. He doesn’t understand why he wants to do it… other than the fact that he wants to be close to you. When he’s in love? He opens up a lot more and won’t ever hesitate in seeking you out when he needs you.

That’s makes sense. Sorry, I wanted to make sure I was answering correctly. The MCs Family will meet the ROs… will it be in Chapter Three? Probably not, but they will meet them.

Ezra/Elaria: They wouldn’t understand it. Of course, they’re aware that people are scared of going against people with actual weapons training, but they couldn’t imagine letting innocent people get treated so harshly. Fortunately, the majority of places within Gallinia aren’t like that.

Caleb/Catherine: They’d be surprised. All of the places they’ve been with Gallinia have always been welcoming to all walks of life. They wouldn’t be able to figure out why Kulilk reacted in such a manner to someone like you. It would be something worth pondering over.

Jaden/Jade: They’d get a certain look in their eyes as they formulate a possible plan of action to deal with it. If it came down to it, they’d make sure that Kulilk understood that he should never do what he did again. Or he’d face the consequence .

Aidan/Aylin: They’ve seen horrible things— both from nobles and commoners alike— but they wouldn’t be able to connect the dots between people who have sworn to protect doing something like that. They’d definitely be closer to you whenever you’re visiting the main town… just in case.

Faolan/Faolyn: You’d have a protective puppy on your hands. They wouldn’t want you to be alone— even if they knew that you could take care of yourself. It would put them at ease knowing that they could help protect you.

Laurence/Lauren: They already know what it’s like and finds it completely unacceptable. That stance won’t shift in the slightest. Ever.

Irithiel: Her reaction is a bit more complex… as she’s aware of things that others aren’t. Of course, she finds it absolutely abhorrent and will put the fear of the Gods into Kulilk if she saw him… but it’s complicated. She’d make sure that you were always alright though.

Kyllian: He’d have one hand on his sword at all times. He doesn’t take chances when it comes to your safety and protecting you. A moment of hesitation could cost him your life and he’d never take that chance.

How'd the ROs react to someone telling them about how deadly and malicious half-fae are while the ROs are seeing their MC lover in the backgrouns being a pure-hearted, dorky ball of sunshine?

Ezra/Elaria: A hard to read look flits across their face at the words. Their shoulders tighten with the emotion, but they don’t say anything. Instead, they simply stare into the individuals eyes until they back down. Bringing home the old adage if looks could kill.

Caleb/Catherine: “They’re not like that at all!” Their cheeks flush due to their emotions. Hazel eyes sharp in a way they normally weren’t. “There’s no need to spread lies about them. You don’t have to like my one true… Just don’t do so in my presence.”

Jaden/Jade: An almost predatory smile graces their lips as they listen. “Why don’t we just quit while we’re ahead, hm?” They tilt their head. “You’re boring me with your drivel.”

Aidan/Aylin: Blue green eyes darken. “I’d suggest you quit while you’re ahead.” Their hand drops to the sword at their side. “There isn’t any sense in continuing a conversation that neither of us wish to be a part of.”

Faolan/Faolyn: A rumbling growl works it way up from their chest. Crimson eyes flashing in warning for the individual to cease their words immediately. No one disrespects their moon in front of them. No one.

Laurence/Lauren: “I appreciate the fact that you’re trying to warn me.” They tilt their head, emerald eyes shimmering with various emotions. “It’s not needed, however. I’m more than aware of how special my one true is.”

Irithiel: A small wince works its way across elegant features; her right hand gently tracing her left wrist. “That’s enough.” The command is uttered in a tone barely above a whisper, but it reverberated with power all the same. “You will not be spreading those lies around Haven. If I hear anything about this again, I’ll be showing you my displeasure in a way you won’t like.”

Kyllian: Silver eyes narrow into slits. Well muscled arms cross over his broad chest as he appraises the person standing before him. “You have some courage to say those things about my one true in front of me.” His lips downturn into a snarl. “Or you’re just stupid. I can’t tell.”

What do the MC’s siblings think of the RO’s?

Ezra/Elaria

Aziel: Think they’re a little too aloof, but can tell that they have a good heart. Totally will be excited about being connected to the Royal Family.

Kiera: She’s a bit aloof/stoic as well. So, she’d be able to connect with them on that. She wouldn’t have a huge opinion, because they make you happy and that’s all that matters.

Caleb/Catherine

Aziel: Thinks they’re a little too shy/nervous, but he would enjoy being in their company. As he would know that they’re a genuine individual.

Kiera: Would bond over the shared love of books between you both. She’d be ecstatic that there’s another book lover within the family.

Jaden/Jade

Aziel: He’d be a little distrustful of them at first because he’s heard murmurs about their reputation, but as he got to know them? It’d be like kindred spirits meeting.

Kiera: She would clearly see how much they were trying and wouldn’t hold their past exploits against them. She wouldn’t be that close with them, because of how outgoing they are, but she’d always try her best to interact with them.

Aidan/Aylin

Aziel: He’d want to strangle them at first, but he’d get used to them over time. Though he’d sometimes have the compulsion to strangle them again whenever they get snarky (and he doesn’t have a good comeback).

Kiera: Wouldn’t be able to compute the things you told her about them— being sweet, kind, etc— to the snarky individual that she meets. However, as she observes them letting their guard down, she’d be able to see glimpses of the person they’re scared to show.

Faolan/Faolyn

Aziel: Thinks they’re absolutely badass. Would totally pester them to shift so he could pet them/ride on their back.

Kiera: Would silently applaud her little sibling for getting someone that looks like that. Would definitely be a little shy at first…

Laurence/Lauren

Aziel: Loves them and would hug you tightly when he found out that you were together. Definitely approves. 100/10

Kiera: Would smile wildly. She absolutely adores them and couldn’t think of anyone better to be with her baby sibling.

Irithiel

Aziel: He’d be a stuttering mess around her (blushing and everything). So, he wouldn’t be able to come up with an actual opinion farther than I understand what they meant… (He’d approve.)

Kiera: She’d be nervous. After all the Matriarch is known far and wide throughout Gallinia (and the world). Kiera would definitely get close with Irithiel because of all the knowledge that she has.

Kyllian

Aziel: Wouldn’t understand the appeal at first, as he’d be a little unnerved that Kyllian never truly spoke unless spoken to. Though, he’d get over it as he got used to him.

Kiera: Understands the need for silence and appreciates that Kyllian doesn’t wish to fill comfortable silences with unneeded conversation.

I love the concept of the one true bond (although I guess that doesn't say much because I am a sucker for soul mate tropes).

I was wondering when the MC decided who their one true is, will the RO become instantly aware of this, or will the MC have to confess to them for the RO to realise the MC is their one true as well?

It actually depends on the RO! There will be a choice that’ll sort of lock in who the MCs one true is after a certain point— to make it a bit easier on you all, and on me too— and after it’s chosen? The MC will have different dynamics with each of the ROs.

Caleb/Catherine are a bit oblivious naturally, but they’ll definitely initiate the conversation with the MC because they’re well versed on the subject and know what it feels like when a bond has been established. Jaden/Jade don’t believe that they’re lucky enough to have the MC as their one true so they’re a bit dense. Irithiel is more than aware of it but, for a variety of reasons, she doesn’t approach the MC, which will be something you bring up with her.

It just depends on which RO ends up being the one true that the dynamic is established!
