Dark Ranger Velonara, Grand Apothecary Faranell, Deathstalker Commander Belmont and The Black Bride when Nathanos inevitably shows back up to ruin their decent leadership of the Forsaken:
War Crimes: A sister's betrayal.
Resting on the cherry oak wood desk was a folded parchment sealed with red wax. Within the wax was the forsaken crest; it was a sign it was of some port of urgency. Just as the moment had passed, her delicate metal fingers wrapping around the envelope a crackling, dry voice spoke out from the opening of the doorway.
"That is your invitation for the meeting. I had hoped you would have received it before now, but it seems there is no time." The frame of a of a tall, yet slender man stood at the entrance of the Felsorrow home. His figure was very frail looking, and the fact that he slouched took away a few inches of height. Seleste could not see his eyes as the glare cast from the candles blocked them out entirely, leaving only golden lit glasses. The Plaguebringer lifted his hand to adjust them as they had started to slide down along his almost non existent nose.
Seleste's glowing eyes peered down at the letter then her gaze was drawn back to his own golden orbs. "What is it?" she asked curiously while holding the parchment out as if to give him an opening to explain. Drayvenn lifted a hand and motioned for her to follow him. "Come along, we must leave now."
As she stepped foot outside of the apothecarium the sound of the angry clouds seemed to speaking to each other, one yelling and then the next would soon follow. As the thunder continued it seemed to be a build up for the rain that had started to fall in heavy drops on the stone ground. A single sound of it meeting with the skull littered surface was now replaced by another and another, all before it was now a weighted blanket of oncoming dew that did not seem to end. Waiting outside in the rain was Drayvenn who was holding the carriage door open for her. Though she could not see his face it was apparent he was growing restless with how long she was taking. Drayvenn was one to never get upset, so she lifted the sides of her robe within her hands and made her way over to the carriage, climbing inside.
Once she was safely out of the rain he soon followed and sat back into the seat. For a forsaken he looked quite weathered and old, and if one could age he would be suffering from it greatly. "All of them are there. Well all of -us- really." Seleste waited for him to continue before she asked any questions. The sound of the undead steeds' hooves against the wet stone soon filled the air as Drayvenn's long pause continued. Finally he began again. "Faranell has called for us to meet. It is in regard to the Queen's wishes."
Regard? Regard to what she thought...
The old Plaguebringer lifted a boney hand and pointed it to her letter. "That is the invitation to this meeting. All of us have been called on." Her gaze soon shot down to the dampened letter within her hands. The ink was showing through due to the rain that unexpectedly touched its surface. She then looked up to him again. "All of us? Is it really that urgent?" she seemed to have a hint of concern in her voice. He nodded to her and made a long drawn out "Mmmhmm..." with it just passing through his closed lips. Her gaze peered out through the small window within the carriage, watching the rain as it seemed to cover the entire Tirisfal Glades. She allowed the sound of the horses and the heavy pattering of the rain soothe her thoughts.
Before she realized it the cart had come to a complete stop causing herself and Drayvenn to shift on their seats. With another adjustment of his glasses he then opened the door and held it for her. "Alright then. Let's get to it." She had to take a moment to gather herself before she had realized it was her turn to get out of the carriage. The fabric of her robe found its way within her small palms yet again, pulling it up and away from the stone walkways to try and keep from getting wet along its surface. She followed close behind Drayvenn even though he was slow and took his time. While she waited for his crippling pace to lead them inside the Undercity she glanced up at the entrance and stared at the forsaken flags that hung in place. Why did she care enough to study them now? She had seen them everyday, no big deal. She must have felt something from deep within that things might be changing for the better.
As the pair made there way inside to the conference room, a conversation had already begun. The sound of forsaken men and women talking could be heard from outside of the room itself. It must have been something quite important indeed. As Drayvenn entered he made his way to a group of senior apothecaries from Northrend, leaving Seleste alone at the doorway. Before she even had a moment to glance around the room at the other apothecaries, Ivan had spotted her right off. "Hello, dearest..." the sound of his filtered voice was spoken softly but loud enough she could hear. She turned to see him holding up his hand, his fingers waving one at a time; the length of his digits were so long it looked like a spider climbing its web.
She gave him a sigh before moving over to sit beside him and the room seemed to begin quieting down. Faranell was already in the center of the room, his arms behind his back as he had a hint of pride in his stature. Even though his lower jaw was missing, it almost appeared as if the scientist was smiling. "I have good news, comrades. Our Queen has spoken to me personally and made a request from our department." Everyone began to chatter once more, the sound of their low pitched voices was still enough to cause a disturbance. Faranell did not mind however. He took this moment to draw out his good word, allowing everyone a few seconds to guess what it could even be related to.
Ivan however was not at all enthused. His red eyes rolled drastically as he leaned back into the chair, crossing his arms over his chest. "It is probably another clean up assignment. You know how things go around here." As he spoke to Seleste he had started to teeter back and forth on the ends of the back legs of his chair. Then suddenly a shadow emerged from above, casting over Ivan's body entirely. It covered his entire frame, almost like an eclipse from overhead. "You are not too far off from that, Doctor Felsorrow. Not to far off at all." Faranell spoke loud enough so everyone could hear his remark to Ivan's smart remark. Ivan's chair slowly found its way back down onto the floor on all fours. He was suddenly interested. As Faranell made his way back to the center of the room, he turned to face the group and rested a hand on the podium. "The Queen has asked that we start development on a chemical strong enough to kill Garrosh Hellscream, but untraceable."
There was no chatter.
There was no questioning of this news, only the awe shocked faces as almost every scientist and doctor was in disbelief. He was pleased by this response and continued. "Yes that is right. We have been given the pleasure of starting the creation of something that will kill the former Warchief."
What Faranell did not know was that the attempt had already been made. Perhaps Sylvanas reached out to her forsaken apothecaries out of spite? Was it because she did not trust her own kin? Or was it because her kin did not trust her as well? The less the apothecaries knew, the better. But their journey for an untraceable substance for Hellscream had begun.
