It’s still so good! And as an artist myself, I wholeheartedly believe that deleting your old stuff is one of the worst things you can do for your progress

Obviously if you really want to I’m not going to unfollow you or anything, and I’m not trying to pressure you, I just think it’s really sad when an artist deletes their old work

I know it makes me sad too, and I don't like the idea of deleting my own progress 😭 but realistically, who else will scroll back that far except myself and people who want to humiliate me lol

im worried i said stuff as a kid that i don't agree with now or was generally cringe (highkey worse than being problematic), and also associations to fandoms/people that i don't want to be associated with anymore etc.

im def keeping most of my old posts but anything that causes me actual psychic damage or a visceral physical reaction or spills too much information abt myself (which i still do to this day) is getting the axe </3

to be truthful chat, there is a nonzero possibility that i might become um famous one day lol and i don't want things i said or drew as a tween to be put on blast by ppl who want me to burn. i ALSO want to be judged based on my actual real Self, not my side hobbies n fandoms on tumblr. i want to protect my future self from the immense psychological damage (/gen) I'll take if my old art and thoughts are put on blast, and also shield my cringe but free past self from the leering public eye.

thank you all for being here throughout my art journey, I've been feeling less and less motivation to draw recently but i don't wanna give it all up. im so grateful to those of you who were here since the beginning, IM NOT ABANDONINF THE BLOG I SWEAR but itll no doubt be slowing down as i pursue my dream/career beyond doodling lol. there's a chance we'll cross paths in the real world if things go as planned, and ill be sure to let you guys know if we do. or maybe i won't! who knows...
