It is when she notices that Murdo has settled against a natural protrusion of rocks , simply lounging in the lighter currents of shallower water , that her incredulity is sparked .              Toothiana’s approach is , as often the case , defiant against all logic in its subtlety . Contrast , her regard for the fact that he might appreciate a little more privacy than what is afforded by her suddenly appearing on top of the rocks he’s resting against is , perhaps , a consideration set aside only temporarily .

Time was fickle in this dying land. As its end drew closer the sky was often more a stagnant, oppressing grey but there were times the flicker of an old cycle would show itself and the sky would grow dark, dazzled with spots of stars and cosmic clouds. At least, that was what she heard during or after the fact. She did not envy them for a thing she could no longer gaze upon, memory of times she could and had sometimes alluding her, but with all the talk sometimes it made her wonder.

It was on such an occasion she heard their newest resident rise and step out for a time. Some minutes passed as the Firekeeper mulled over her thoughts before she quietly rose and for the first time in quite a while she climbed the steps and walked outside near the Giant tree to feel the cool air of the night upon her skin. In a way she could not quite place, it felt refreshing, but even still it seemed to have little impact of note upon her.

As she walked up the path with little trouble, she turned to the man, elf as he described himself, sitting upon the roof. She was quiet for a moment before a chilling breeze blew over her and played with her already messing strands of hair. Her lips formed the words before she thought them or realized she uttered them, “What doth they look like?”

And look at that. Wulfenite just calmly hugged Rose from behind, hands somewhat shaky, most likely from the stress of the war going on. "Sorry if this greetin' startles ya, m'lady... I merely wish fer some comfort."

Rose at first jumped a little,but relaxed as she heard thesomewhat rough voice of theamber gem. 

The homeworld gems hadretreated a few hours ago,but the tension in the airwas still quite obvious. Any sudden attacks hada high chance of happening.

So, Rose understood whyWulfuenite hands felt shakyand why he said what he did.

Rose had been in humanwars, she knew of how they sent soldiers away without their familyfor years, and sometimes never came back. They didn’t haveanybody to be comforted bybut themselves and all the otherstruggling soldiers. It’s why she knew this was important.

In the middle of this dark forest surrounded by nothing but dreaded atmosphere, trees filled with no life, and dangerous beasts, Proto didn't expect to came across a small sign of civilization: a house.

As skilled as he may be as a cyborg ninja with an impressive and advanced arsenal, it was still tiring of having to defend yourself for a long duration, not to mention that a part of his clothes is damaged again and he himself is wounded, as evidenced by a large claw mark running across his chest. Fresh wounds were still bleeding, and his left metal forearm has a tooth mark imprinted on it.

There is light coming out from some of the windows, so it is quite clear that there is someone living in it at least. A storm had already started way before he found it, and the cat does not felt it is safe enough to camp outside. Without further ado, he knocked on the wooden door, hoping that he would be welcomed in as a guest.
