Oh my god I didn't realize how much of an actual idiot and asshole Ted Faro really was until my replay of the first game. Like we all knew it, but there are details in the data points you miss if you aren't thorough. He was demanding updates from the Alphas on shit he didn't even understand. He doesn't even KNOW how Gaia works and is demanding full control over her. Who the fuck gave him Omega status anyway??? What the fuck dude? He's so fucking stupid and selfish that he would rather the new generation repeat every atrocity in history than let them know what a dumbass he was. He killed the people who worked their ASSES off developing and overseeing Gaia, who dedicated the reminder of their lifespans to perfecting her code. All so he could purge human history and the name of the Faro Plague. He wasn't even in the Gaia Prime facility, he was in his bunker with prostitutes, living in hedonism. Making himself immortal and killing anyone who disagreed with him in that bunker.

I'm glad he spent a thousand years trapped in his own mind as he mutated over and over into a cancerous blob. Until the very people who worshipped him millenia later, stabbed and burned him and his legacy down. He fucking deserved it. He didn't contribute a goddamn thing to making Gaia, and he felt he had the authority to murder the last 6 people saving the Earth because HE decided it was what was "best" for the entire fucking planet and human race.

EDIT: A year later I'm realizing how silly and disjointed this sounded. It just made me so angry how he reflects every horrible manbaby that's in power in the world. He thinks he's so fucking smart and nobody every put him in his place. He funded HZD to fix what he broke but Elizabet should've forced him to give her full control over the project. Instead of trying to please him and keep him happy. Fuck, the government should've thrown him in fucking prison and made him rot until Zero Dawn launched. He deserved to sit in a prison cell watching live feed of the world dying. He should've been put in the field fighting his own machines while they buy PZD time. Instead of all those innocent people forced to fight and die for it. He shouldn't have had any freedom when Elizabet found out what he did.

Fuck dude. I would've turned around after he signed the paperwork and told the government to watch his ass like a HAWK and keep him FAR away from Zero Dawn. He didn't deserve a safe bunker. He shouldn't have had any control over how his life went after it came out that he killed the world.
