DR. MURDOCK: You’ve made some good progress, Lavender. Today’s the day – how are you feeling about the finale? 

LAVENDER: I don’t know. Just wanna get it over with so I can get out of here.

DR. MURDOCK: Get out and go where, exactly? 

LAVENDER: Anywhere I don’t have to be the “crazy girl”, I guess.

DR. MURDOCK: Interesting. But we discussed this; haven’t we, Lavender? Do things said about you on social media make them true? Or is that just a narrative?

LAVENDER: I know you want me to say it’s a narrative, but you’ve seen some of the comments. Even worse, I’ve embarrassed Soren and Babs.

DR. MURDOCK: Did Soren or Babs tell you that? 

LAVENDER: *sighs* No. but they’ve been busy with their new jobs and brand deals.

DR. MURDOCK: So I suppose the next question is – why do you care so much what some strangers on the Internet say about you?

DR. FARRAH: I'm not saying you can't feel your feelings; you're completely entitled to be angry and upset about what happened. My main concern is that you have the tools to navigate the other feeling that come up too.

LUPE: I hear you, I do. But I can't care about that man; he's not my papi. My-My is. That man's just a ghost that haunts my life.

DR. FARRAH: You know, therapy is the perfect place to learn how to do some ghostbusting. So what do you think - you willing to meet with me once a week?

LUPE: Yeah. I think I could do that.

DR. FARRAH: Cool! So listen, we have a few more minutes; why don't we talk about something fun? Jude tells me your girl came to the ranch. I'm sure you're excited.

LUPE: Esmeralda? Oh my god, she's amazing. She's the sweetest person in the world; she keeps me so calm and makes me happy. It's like... the minute I see her, everything else just numbs, you know?

DR. FARRAH: Wow. Sounds like she feels the same way to come all the way to be to Chestnut Ridge to be with you.

LUPE: She does. I'm so lucky.

DR: FARRAH: How about we start with your mom; how is she doing nowadays?

LUPE: She doesn't talk about it. And she's all alone, now that my papi's in jail.

DR. FARRAH: Are you feeling some guilt about that?

LUPE: Obviously.

DR. FARRAH: I'm sure your mom and your sister wanted you to be safe above all; your papi too.

What's the main thing you mainly feel guilty about?

LUPE: If he hadn't -

DR. FARRAH: Who, Lupe?

LUPE: You know... if he didn't do this, my family would've never broken up.

DR. FARRAH: Who is he to you, Lupe?

LUPE: Nobody. And if I get my wish, he'll be just another dead man.

DR. FARRAH: That's a lot of anger for someone who's nobody to you, Lupe.

LUPE: Yeah? Well, I don't think you would say that if you were there while he was beating and ra- * sighs * hurting my mami.

DR. FARRAH:

No one should ever have to witness something like that happen to their mother. And I'm sorry that you had to.

Let me ask you something - have you given any thought to what you'll do if he survives?

PIPER: Your appointment is with Lupe first, then I'll be meeting with Cora.

FARRAH: And here I thought we just got out of the woods with the other sisters.

PIPER:

I know. But don't worry; I booked both of us appointments with our therapists for tomorrow.

And I have some wine chilling as we speak.

FARRAH: I love you.

PIPER: I'm gonna be downstairs in the living room doing some paperwork. Good luck.

FARRAH: Thanks, babe.

DR. FARRAH: Hi Lupe, I'm Dr. Murdock. Jude told me you said it was all right for her to give the basics of what happened. That right?

LUPE: Yeah. I didn't feel like going over all of it again.

DR. FARRAH: I can understand that; you and your family have been through a horrible ordeal. Today we're gonna be focusing not just about what happened, but how you're feeling about it.
